The body snatchers

A slice of happiness

-10:am-
we had just left the shop where Luke had bought stuff and refused to tell me what. And we were driving a long windy road.
"Where are we even going?"
"Surprise" he says focused on the road
" I don't like surprises." I mumble, and he laughs
I'm bored and the car is silent.
" hey Luke?"
"Yeah?"
" mind if I put music on?"
"Not at all"
I plug in my phone and scroll through the massive list of songs. Deciding on Melanie Martinez.
" this is interesting" Luke says, as ' tag your it' plays through the speakers
"You don't like it?" I say , a little hurt at the possibilty he doesn't
" no I like it, it's good. Just a bit dark"
" that's the best part about it"

"THIS IS BEAUTIFUL" I exclaim as he leads me down near the waterfall. How does he even know this place? It's in the middle of nowhere.
" I'm glad you like it" he smiles he leads me to a spot near the base of the waterfall, but not too close, and asks me to wait there. He comes back with the bags from earlier.

He pulls out food and a small picnic blanket

He lays everything out neatly
" do you wanna swim before we eat?"
"But I don't have any bathers ? " I say shyly
"Well" he says stripping down until he is in nothing but his boxers " I'm going like this!" He says before jumping in the water.
"Hmmm, ok" I say and I strip down behind a bush, to my bra and undies but I leave my white shirt ontop.
I walk over to the edge of the water and look at Luke, who smiles widely and signals for me to get in before diving back under
I test the water with my foot, as I do so Luke grabs it from underneath and pulls me into the cool fresh water
"HEY!" I squeal, he laughs. So I splash him with water, he does the same back.
Nothing could be more perfect than this

"I'll give you time to get ready, pick you up at 6:30"
" sounds good" i say turning to get out of the car, he turns me to him again.
"What about the.. Uhh.. Mess?" He asks worried
"You know what the texted said" I say quietly
" I know" he says and he kisses my cheek
" I'll see you at 6:30" I say as I leave
" see you then"
I close the car door and walk silently up to my front porch, I glance again at the message on my phone. " all cleared up, no need to be so attached to your lover boy when you have a home again"
I take a deep breath and open the door
Clean, just how I had left it

* I do have plans for my next chapters and I'm sorry it took me forever to update, but I've had a lot of stuff to sort out lately and I also do rowing now so that interferes a bit, but I'll try to keep it up. Any character ideas too?
