"so? This is where you live huh?" I say as we walk through the door

"yep. You like?"

"I love" I say scanning the room, its so cosy looking and warm and instead of proper lights the ceiling is covered in fairy lights, everything seems to be in the one huge space except the bathroom which I'm assuming is behind the only other door.

He laughs "thanks" he says as he guides me to the couch.

"would you like a drink?" he asks breaking the silence

"yes please, coffee if you don't mind please" oh god. Too polite. He's gonna think I'm a goody too shoes or something.

"coming right up!"

I sit down on the couch and check my phone. Two new messages.

First message: "hey, ari its Kat. Wassup?"

I reply : " hey Kat. I'm just at the cutest boy Evers house" I turn and secretly snap a photo of Luke and send it to Kat. "he's soo hot"

Second message: its from a private number, " hi aria I love your house.". wtf?!?, there is a file attached. I open it. There are several pictures. A picture of my room, trashed. My kitchen, trashed. My loungeroom, trashed and my bathroom stained with blood. I scream.

"wow! Hey?! What's going on?!?" Luke says rushing over to me. I hand him my phone. He looks at the messages and the pictures confused

"that's my house" I explain "someone did that."

"we need to tell the police." He says immediately, grabbing his jacket.

I nod. "ok."

And we head out in his car.

We are about halfway there when my phone rings. Its a private number. I answer.

"tell pretty boy to turn around now." Says a whisper on the other end " if you take this to the police he can meet mahalia and sav, now you wouldn't want that would you?"

I'm shaking, eyes tearing up. "Luke. Turn around. We can't go to the police."

"what?! Why?"

"just do it ill explain later" he turns around

'' good girl " says the voice " your doing the right thing, Tata" and they hang up.

"what the hell?!" Luke says.

" it was them. Whoever was at my house. It was them. We can't go to the police"

"doesn't that give us more reason to?"

" no, we can't or they will kill you"

He doesn't reply, just stares at the road ahead

So much for a nice night, I think
