It was my twelfth birthday and I was really excited, since I was going to be twelve, the moment I blow my candle, magic will flow into me. The rules are that you had to shut your eyes and think about what discipline you want (in my case element bending) and that will be the magic that goes into your body.

When it was time for me to blow the candles I thought about being an elemental and blew my candles. Suddenly I felt a tingling in my right hand, then my left. The feeling flowed through my body and before I knew it, I was an elemental.

It felt great, finally having the power I've been told of by my mum and dad. I flexed my fingers in front of me and pushed magic into them. Suddenly they lit on fire!

"Whoa!" I whispered, "Epic."

"Well son, you wished to be an elemental didn't you. I told you it would be better to be a Light breaker," scolded my dad.

I ignored him and kept staring at the fire on my hand. Just then a beam of light burst out my hands and hit the cake. Bits of cream and bread went flying in all ways and my mum ended up covered in icing.

"Honey, don't use your light blast in here." said my mum in an angry but soft voice.

"Sorry mu... WAIT A MINUTE! I'm supposed to be an elemental not a light breaker."

"We need to get you to the wizard sanctuary!"

The wizard sanctuary is just like a hospital but for wizards, so like instead of doctors we have healers who have been born with the power to heal. Unfortunately if you're a healer you have to go and live at the wizard sanctuary, you also can't choose any other discipline since you're already a healer. As well as healers we have the Wisest. The Wisest are a group of wizards that give you tips for anything. They also have to live at the wizard sanctuary but can choose their own discipline. That was why we were going to the wizard sanctuary, to visit one of the Wisest.

The one we went to was called Jim.

"It seems tha..."

"What's wrong, Is it bad?" interrupted my mum.

"Mum, calm down,"

"Thank you Ben (my name). Now as I was saying, Ben seems to have a rare condition duopline, it's when instead of having one discipline, you have two. Just remember Ben doesn't have a bad condition. He just has two disciplines instead of one. It's nothing to worry about."

Jim left the room leaving me and my mum sitting there. I had a grin on my face while my mum had a worried look. The silence between us lingered until we got home.
"So, what did the Wisest say?" asked my dad.

"Well I have a condition called duopline. It means I have two disciplines instead of one." I replied. Trying again to make my hands light on fire. Once they did my mum said, "Why don't you do that outside dear, you know just in case you break something in the house... Or the whole house."

"I'll help you with controlling the light breaking powers," said my dad, getting out of his seat.

I followed my dad outside where he told me to hold my hands by my side while he went back inside to grab something. When he came back outside he was dragging a large black square. He dragged it to the fence and propped it up against a large rock.

"Now, put your arm up and aim at the black rock. Imagine the bright blast shooti..."

A yellow beam shot out my hand towards the black rock. As it hit the rock, it split in two.

"Wha-wha-wha? How did you do that? That rock was impossible to break by the best light breakers of all time. How could you do it WITHOUT even training?"

"Well I guess you could just say I got the hang of it?"
