Dig yourself a grave

Dig yourself a grave with smiles and false hope
The same as to take your car then drive it down a steep slope

Pretend you can't hear the whispers or that you simply don't care
The same as to build up screams, choke because you have no air

Let them control you with their status like chains that pull you back
The same as walking blind and falling through every crack

Look in the mirror and convince yourself you're okay
The same as being tortured and slowly wasting away

Show no weakness means show no pain
The same as walking in fire and trying not to wish for rain

Dig yourself a grave and dive right in
You tell yourself they want you burning in hell for simple sin

Dig yourself a grave and bury yourself deep
Sobs drowned out as you lie in a crumbled heap

Dig yourself a grave
But suddenly you realize you're more than brave
Maybe all along it was society you were meant to save.
