He sat by my side
And told me some lies
A story about a man
Who just sits and cries
So I asked him why it was
that the man did mourn
He told me some lies
Of the man's tragic scorn
His father a drunk
His mother too poor
His brother depressed
His sister a whore
His life a tragedy
His kid oblivious
His wife dead
His thoughts upon himself, insidious
I said it was lies
That no one was that sad
He simply laughed
And agreed that it couldn't be that bad
So he told me the rest of the story
The part he didn't mention before
That the man wanted to end his life
So he did the next morning at half past four
I didn't know what to say
So I simply shut up
He went to bed
But the next morning he never got up
