Grace Next Day-

I do meditating breaths and focus completely on calming down. Cole will not defeat us, he will not win. We are the strongest. Zoe and I are the best there is.

"Zoe! I'm going to the library!" I yell across the temporary apartment while standing up.

"Okay!" She calls back.

I grab my purse and walk out the door. I go down the elevator and I see a limmo is already waiting for me. I hop in and mutter, "Public Library, please."

"Yes ma'am." The driver slowly drives away and I finally relax a little.

"Ma'am, we're here." The driver gently says and I pop my head up.

"Oh, thank you." I walk out and jump up the steps that leads me to the library doors.

I walk inside and sign myself up for a library card. A kind lady helps me and afterwards I search for a book. I finally find one that sounds satisfying. I then go to a couch and began reading. It doesn't take long to finish the book, so I go back to the shelf to put it back.

"Hmn, it's not here today." I see a boy tap the exact spot where the book in my hand should be.

I walk up a little closer to him and cough to get his attention. "Are you looking for this?" I ask while raising the book up.

"Ah! Yes! This is my favorite book of all time!" He exclaims and turns his body so it's facing mine.

"Here, I just finished." I hand it to him and he smiles.

"I'm Nathan." He greets and I smile back.

"My name is Grace," I say and back up a few steps. "Ah, well it was ni-,"

"Wait! If you liked this book, there's another one I can recommend you just like it."

I nod my head, finally feeling my chest release pressure. "Sure!"

"Here, follow me." Nathan walks around me and takes the lead. I stare at the nape of his neck. He has straight brown hair and deep baby blue eyes.

Nathans brings me into the sci-fi section of the library. There he pulls out a book that's about 350 pages long. He turns around to face me again with a smile.

"This will suck you right into the pages!" I laugh at the incredulous look on face. "Why are you laughing?" He asks, truly curious.

"Oh, nothing." I say and grabs the book from his fingers. I turn it over and read the back. "Sounds interesting," I mumble before looking up.

"Do you want to go eat somewhere? I know this really good cobbler." Nathan suddenly asks me and I'm a bit shocked.

"Sure," I'm surprised by my own dardevilness. "But we need to sneak out the back, I have people thinking I'm only in the library." I warn.

"Follow me, then," Nathan says. We check out our books. He then takes me to the library's back doors.

"My car is on the side of the building, fortunately." Nathan mumbles and I follow closely behind him.

Once we get in, Nathan pulls out of the parking lot and we go eat and talk and joke and enjoy ourselves.
