"The weather seems to always be beautiful every night we come here." Isabella said as she was smiling. "It's true, I've never noticed that the night is this beautiful until we started to go out every night." I replied. She took a sip of her coffee but moved it off of her lips fast. "You burnt your tongue? I told you to drink your coffee slowly we're not in a hurry." I chuckled. She grabbed a napkin and dabbed her lips with it softly. "It's because I love my coffee to be hot. I won't drink it if it's cold." She said then giggled. "You still have to take your time." I added. She just rolled her eyes.
I noticed her eyes were wandering somewhere else besides me. She was looking behind me. "There's a man walking towards us." She said. I turned around to see Yoongi looking at me. My heart dropped in my stomach, I stood up without thinking twice. "My friend Hoseok!" He said happily then pulled me into a hug. "I didn't expect to see you here my friend. What are you doing here?" He added. He didn't even let me answer because he looked at Isabella and said "I'm sorry my lady. I was just excited to see my friend. Please forgive me for being rude and not introducing myself. My name is Yoongi. I'm a friend of Hoseok, we grew up together in an orphanage." He said as he extended his hand out for her to shake.
She stood up and shook his hand and said "No please you weren't rude at all my name is-" I cut her off by saying "This is my friend her name is Amy." She was a bit confused but she didn't say anything. Yoongi was still holding her hand and pulled her hand gently closer to his lips and kissed the back of her hand then said "It's nice to meet you Amy. You look beautiful." She blushed then said "Oh my. Thank you." I didn't like that Yoongi was sweet talking her. I cleared my throat for Yoongi to notice my existence which worked and he let go of her hand then backed away from her.
"So you said that Hoseok is your friend since you two were in the orphanage?" Isabella asked him curiously. He nodded then said "We weren't that close when we were young but now we are. We met not so long ago after being separated for about five long years." "Oh my what a great coincidence!" She said excitedly. "Oh wait! That means you must know Mr. Jeon!" She added after she started filling up the gaps as if our story were just puzzle pieces. Yoongi was confused at first because he raised an eyebrow then his eyes went wide after realization struck him. "Jungkook?!" He asked as he was shocked. "Oh my lord! That little boy might've grown up into a big man now!" He acted like he was so happy to hear news about him. "How did you meet him?" He asked. "He's my archery teacher." She answered as she was smiling.
"That little boy I knew in the orphanage is now a teacher." He said as if he was in disbelief. "Mr. Jeon and Mr. Jung met each other by coincidence not so long ago." "Amy I think we should get going. It's getting late." I told her after I pulled out my pocket watch and saw the time. We usually stayed longer but after we saw Yoongi I wanted Isabella to avoid him as much as possible. Yoongi looked at me not happy at all. "You met Jungkook after all these years and you didn't tell me?" He asked as if I betrayed him. "Yoongi it didn't cross my mind. Just let it go my friend." I told him as I grabbed Isabella's hand. "Let's get going." I told her as I looked at her. She looked at Yoongi and said "It was a pleasure to meet you. I hope I'll be able to see you again." He smiled at her and replied "No it was my pleasure my lady."
After that we walked out of the café. As we were walking down on a random path just to get away from Yoongi, Isabella broke the silence by asking "What's going on?" I didn't answer her I just wanted us to get as far as we could from the café just in case Yoongi was following us. "Is there something between you and your friend Yoongi?" She asked. We arrived somewhere I've never been before. There was a big rock on the ground. I took off my jacket and placed it on the rock so Isabella would sit on it and not get her dress dirty.
"Yoongi is not my friend nor Jungkook's friend. I never liked him but after we got older and haven't seen each other I felt like the war made people closer so it felt like he was an old friend of mine because we once knew each other and I forgot all the bad memories but to Jungkook he never liked him or forgave him. Yoongi wasn't nice to Jungkook and Jungkook isn't thinking about forgiving him anytime soon." I explained.
"Well I understand your situation and Jungkook's situation. When you think about it did Yoongi ever apologize to Jungkook for hurting him?" She asked me. "No." I simply answered. "You see? How can he forgive Yoongi when he never asked Jungkook for forgiveness?" She asked. "You're so wise. It never crossed my mind." I told her as I smiled. I noticed the weather was getting cold and Isabella was slightly shivering but she didn't say anything. I took of my scarf that I was wearing. One of the two possessions I had left from my mother. It was a blue scarf, it might look feminine for a man like me to wear it but I didn't really care because I loved wearing it when the weather was windy. I placed it around her neck and said "This is a very precious thing I have. I want you to have it." I told her as I secured it around her neck. She looked up at me and smiled as she said "Thank you."
I remember vividly how beautiful she looked. I felt guilty for lying to her in the beginning but at that moment I told myself I'm going to protect her.
