I was supposed to meet up with Yoongi but I kept debating whether I should go or not. I didn't want to but at the same time I didn't want him to know that something was wrong especially that I decided not to see him after he met Isabella. I know he's not stupid and he knew that I was hiding something but at the same time he didn't know how the princess looked like so he wasn't so sure. I just didn't want him to meddle in my life.
It was around 8:00 p.m and I still haven't left the palace to meet up with Yoongi. I was supposed to meet him an hour before but I just couldn't. I knew if I met with him I'd be betraying Isabella but if I didn't go he won't let it slide. I was in the front garden passing back and forth trying to come up with a decision. I was snapped out if my thoughts because of the presence of Jungkook.
"I'm sure you're debating whether you want to see Yoongi or not." He scoffed. "It's just I don't want him to meddle in to my life if I go and if I don't go I don't want him to know that there's something suspicious between me and Isabella." I told him as I ran my hand through my hair in frustration. "You're the one who gave him permission to meddle into your life when you first agreed to meet up with him. You know that he is nothing but trouble." He told me. "Jungkook I really don't need your nagging at this moment. All right I admit, what I did was wrong and I should've avoided him once I met him, I regret it." I said as I was annoyed at Jungkook and even myself. "If you go what are you going to tell him? You should at least make up new news so he won't be suspicious of you." Jungkook suggested which I thought was absolutely clever.
"But what should I tell him?" I asked him. "Tell him that the royal family are busy preparing for the royal ball which is true but not something very important that should be hid. You can also say that you heard the King talk to other leaders which I'm sure you already told him but say something new but not true like they're putting the war on hold for now, also they haven't made new agreements. I think that's enough, you don't need more information to give him, thats more than enough." He told me. I nodded my head because I agreed on everything he said. "Thank you Jungkook." I told him he just smiled.
"I'll get going now." I told him then hugged him before I left. Guilt was eating me alive but I had to put this to an end not now but at least very soon. When I arrived at the café I saw Yoongi seated on his usual seat as he was reading a news paper. I pulled the chair out and sat down. He didn't even look at me and said "I thought you weren't coming because you're more than an hour late." "I was busy and couldn't leave until I was done." I lied. "Do you have any new news?" He asked as he placed his news paper on the table after he folded it. "I don't have very important news because the royal family are busy preparing for the royal ball."
"So how's Isabella doing?" He suddenly changed the subject. "Alright I assume. Why?" I replied. "Oh my she is very stunning. I'll feel guilty if I hurt her pretty face, her beauty will go to waste." He smirked. "Yoongi what are you talking about?" I asked. "Don't tell me you don't know what I'm talking about. I know that was the princess. I might say she's quite stunning." My blood was boiling and I shot up from my seat as I said through my clenched teeth "Don't you dare lay a finger on her."
"Who do you think you're threatening?" He asked angrily. "Are you the one who has been telling everything to princess causing us to always fail our plans?" He added. I looked at him strangely and said "It wasn't me and you know that very well. If it was me I wouldn't have told you anything about the royal family and the King's plans." I told him angrily.
"Yoongi just give it a rest. I'm backing away from all of this because I don't want to be a traitor." I said as I was frustrated. "You're doing this for her? You're preferring her over us? You're preferring her over the people of your country?" He asked angrily and shot up from his seat. "We want what's best for our country but those filthy people are the reason why we're suffering and now you're on their side? Did you forget what we went through as kids? Did you forget what we're going through now? It's all their fault. Hoseok open your eyes, they're hurting us. I know that you think what you're doing is wrong but they're the ones who had wronged us first. Call it revenge if you want, call it selfishness it's fine but the truth is we just want to get what is truly ours." He walked towards me and placed his hand on my shoulder as he said "I'll give you time to think this over. Tell me what you decide when we meet again next week."
I didn't say anything and just left the café. I made my way back to the palace thinking about what my life has become. Because of my immature and unwise decisions I had to suffer. I arrived at the palace without noticing because my feet had already memorized its way back, I saw her standing in front of the doors of my chamber. She looked worried and walked towards me then asked "Is everything alright? Where have you been?"
Seeing her looking worried and caring about me made me realize that I should forget about Yoongi and only care about her.
