WHITNEY

Chapter 16

The usual chatter of the school cafeteria filled the large space. I sat down at my usual table with Drew. Most of the other Warriors were already there, Megan, Zara, and Tianna smiled up at us.

“Where’s Autumn?” asked Tianna as she picked at her garden salad.

I shrugged, “I haven’t seen her since history class. She’s probably with Asher or at her demon class thing.”

Lynx died two weeks ago and everything was getting back to normal, almost. Autumn was acting strange and she wouldn’t really talk to anyone other than Sophie, she even seemed to be giving Asher the cold shoulder for most of the day. No one really has talked to her about what happened. The night we found her she was just sitting on the ground covered in cold blood. She barely spoke, all she said was ‘I killed him’ and she wouldn’t take her eyes off the mangled body.

I felt a pang of sympathy for Autumn, she had been through so much and now she has to live with killing someone hanging over her. However she did save many people’s lives. And too add to her stress she had to get used to being a half demon. Mrs. Heart will barely let her around huge crowds until she0 learns how to control her emotions and her demon side better. She has to take most of her classes outside of campus now.

Drew slid closer to me, “are you okay babe? You look worried.”

God did I love Drew; he had become my best friend and my boyfriend. I don’t know what I’d do without him. “I don’t know I’m okay I guess. I’m just kind of worried about Autumn and Taylor.”

“Don’t worry about them right now okay? Autumn can take care of herself she’s been on her own for awhile.” He slid his arm around my waist, “as for Taylor, well I’m sorry Whitney but I don’t think we can do anything about that.”

I rested my head on his shoulder. “You’re right. The only thing I should be worried about is exams coming up.”

“Oh God I know! I’m going to fail!” Zara piped in.

I laughed glad to have one of the first normal conversations I’d had in awhile. The air seemed so much lighter and not so full of dread. I think the other students could feel it too; everyone seemed to be in a better mood.

I knew it wasn’t completely over, a lot had changed because of Lynx and a lot changed in the mortal world as well. However for now I wasn’t going to worry about it. I had exams to study for.

IMPORTANT SEQUAL INFO:

I AM making a second novel - I'm currently working on it. HOWEVER, I'm trying to get this first one published, so I will not be uploading the sequal anytime soon. I have lot's of editing to do for Supernaturals itself. While waiting for the sequal please look up some of my other works, I'll most likely begin posting short stories or other things that come into my mind.

Once again thank you all. It really means a lot that there are people out there who enjoy my writing. And please let me know what you think, either coment or PM me! Xxxx
