Chapter 4

It had been a week since I had started going to school at Myda, and so far it had been great. I loved all my classes – though I did get a tun of homework from them. I also joined to Worriers group, everyone was happy that I had joined, even Talia.

“Hey!” Tianna said as she sat down next to me in the cafeteria. Out of all the girls in the Worriers I had gotten the closest with her. I still haven’t met Zara and Sophie though, Megan said they have to do a lot of special jobs for the Head Master in the beginning of the year so I wouldn’t see them until thing died down.

I smiled up at Tianna, “Hello” I replied

“Want to explain something to me?” Tianna asked me causing everyone at our table – Ava, Megan, and Jessica – to look up at the two of us.

“Uh, sure?” I answer feeling confused by Tianna’s tone.

“How come Drew’s totally checking you out and giving you some huge smile?”

“He is?” I ask completely shocked. Looking over my shoulder I noticed Drew sitting at the table closest to the door to leave with the other Ashas’. Tianna was right, Drew was staring at me. However as soon as he noticed I saw him looking he blushed and turned away. Once I turned back to my own table everyone was staring at me.

“What?” I questioned all of them.

“Why is he staring at you?”  Tianna answered my question with another question.

“I don’t really know actually. He ran after me after I left the coffee shop that one time Scarlet decided to be a bitch.”

“Hmm… maybe Drew has a thing for you?” Megan said leaning over the table as she rested her head in her hands.

“OhmyGod! That’d be so cute! We can plan their wedding and everything!” Tianna exclaimed giving me a wide smile.

“What the hell? No! I don’t even know him!” I tell her.

She burst into a series of uncontrollable giggles, “calm down, calm down! I’m kidding!”

Sighing I look over at Drew again – he hadn’t looked back towards me since he noticed I knew he was looking. “You better be,” I tell Tianna turning back around to the table.

The rest of lunch continued on in silence. I was too busy thinking about Drew and what Tianna had said to make much of a conversation. Soon the bell rang and everyone got up and left the cafeteria to get to their next class.

“Ready for Extra Abilities?” asked Talia running up next to me.

I sighed. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”

Out of all my classes I was having the most problems with this one. I could get all of my other powers except for making shields. I was also having a hard time making objects move with my mind. It was getting really frustrating.

Talia turned her head up and let out a bark of a laugh. “Oh stop worrying about your powers so much! Being able to make shields is one of the hardest powers to control. Did I ever tell you it took me 4 months to be able to push thoughts into other peoples minds?”

I looked at her in shock – was she actually trying to make me feel better?

“Yeah, yeah. I know, hard to believe. It took me a long time, but now I can make people do whatever I want without even really thinking about it.” She told me.

We had reached the attic of the main building where the class was held. Extra Abilities was different form the other classes, by that I mean, we had at least 5 teachers and the room was huge.
