^Jax and Rin's outfits (Jax is on the left, Rin is on the right)
Sorry for the wait <3 I've been a tad busy lately with school and all.Jax
I was nervous the entire morning. Normally Rin and I slept together, but last night I couldn't bring myself to. It would've been way too awkward for me, and I was majorly embarrassed.
Rin didn't seem to care, and I didn't know if that relieved me or hurt me. I wanted her to care, at least a tiny bit. But at least she had agreed to a date, and not just a "going out" but a real date.
I put on a slightly fancy white shirt and some light blue shorts, and murmured to myself all morning to calm my racing heart. I can't believe this was actually happening!
We drove in Rin's car, and I fidgeted in the passenger seat. She turned on the radio and hummed a random pop song I'd never heard of, sending me the occasional smile and quick glance to ease my nerves.
It just made me more nervous.
We arrived at the mall, and my anxiety began to dissipate. Nothing relaxed me more than the atmosphere of a mall. I grabbed Rin's hand and pulled her.
"Where are we going?" She asked as I dragged her behind me.
"Forever 21! It's not a mall day until you go there!" I exclaimed, and pulled her into the store with me.
Rin chuckled and watched as I tried on a variety of clothes in all sizes, and I posed, beaming.
I draped myself across one of the mannequin, and whipped my head towards her. She snorted, and burst out laughing. "Paint me like one of your French girls, Rin."
She gasped, and tears started spilling out of her eyes as laughs shook her body. I ran over and grabbed her hands. "Come on, it's no fun trying clothes on alone!"
That's what we did the rest of the time, zipping to and from stores, trying on outfits and flirting with the other shoppers. I even managed to get a free 20% discount because one of the female cashiers was into me; it was obvious by the way she leaned forward squeezing her breasts together.
Hand in hand, Rin and I laughed about how horny the other shoppers seemed. We sat down in the food court, and I watched as Rin sipped her coke, picking at her burger. She seemed tense.
"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly, and Rin glanced up quickly.
"Oh, nothing. How do you like your food?" She stole one of my French fries as I batted her hand away.
She was obviously changing the subject but I had no right to force her to tell me anything. I opened my mouth to ask her where she wanted to go next, when her phone buzzed. She looked down, and in that instant her eyes were filled with such hatred and anger it stunned me, before it was all gone the next moment.
Her eyes met mine, and for some odd reason they were frantic, desperate. "We have to go, please."
I nodded, and we grabbed our trays and headed for the trash can. I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but she was walking so fast I could tell she didn't want to tell me and it was none of my business. Sighing, I dumped my trash along with her.
Rin turned around and froze, eyes wide with shock. I glanced over my shoulder and saw a middle aged woman with long blonde hair like Rin's standing behind me. Her features were sharp, like a hawk's, and although she was beautiful her eyes were so emotionless they sent chills down my spine. Her eyes were locked on Rin, who was glaring back at her with equal amounts of rage.
An older man with greying hair came up behind the woman and placed a hand on the small of her back. Rin let out a soft dry laugh behind me.
"Rin," the woman said, her voice so cold I had to fight the urge to hide. "What brings you here, today of all days?"
Rin stepped forward, eyes narrowed. "As you seem to love forgetting, I happen to live here. I was going shopping, and was having quite a lovely day until you arrived." She was rigid. "Why are you here, Lucille?"
The woman - Lucille - folded her hands together as if she were tired. "My darling husband brought me here for his work. I am happy to see you again after all this time, Rin."
She didn't sound happy to see her at all.
Rin smiled, but the smile didn't reach her eyes. "Likewise. It's been too long."
Lucille clenched her jaw, and I was stuck frozen in between them, with no idea what to do or where to go.
The man cleared his throat. "Lucy, darling, who is this?"
Rin chuckled, and Lucille stared her down. "Of course Lucy didn't tell you about me. No one wants to speak about the bastard child, right?" Rin turned her sharp eyes on the man. "I'm Rin, Lucille's bastard daughter."
Lucille's eye twitched. "You should not speak that way in front of someone respectful."
Rin glanced around. "Respectful? Where? Oh, I guess that must be the name of someone to add to your man collection, whore," she sneered.
My jaw dropped. Daughter? And Rin just called her biological mother a whore? What the hell was going on?
Lucille's eyes flashed. "You should not speak to your mother-"
"Mother? You were never my mother. You never once showed me love, or even interest as a mother. You have no right to that title," Rin spat. "I have a mother, and it sure as hell isn't you."
Lucille made fists with her hands and clenched them. The man stepped forward. "Young lady, you should hold your tongue!"
Rin rolled her eyes. "Fuck off, Gandalf. This is family business."
I bit my lip as the man's eyes grew angry. Lucille exhaled, and grabbed the front of Rin's shirt. Was she going to slap her? Would I get there in time?
They stared each other down, fire and hate burning in their irises. It was like the entire food court was smoldering with the tension, and I could see people's curious gazes drawn to the pair.
"Don't you ever speak that way in front of me again, do you understand? Show me some damn respect," she hissed. "I brought you into this fucking world, and I can make it a living hell if I want to."
Rin smirked. "Just you being my mother makes my life a living hell. I'll speak to you with respect when you stop being such a whore."
Lucille tightened her grip. "Do you know what I had to go through? How hard it was to feed myself and to feed you?"
Rin rolled her eyes. "Of course I don't. You gave me away the instant you had the chance." She slapped Lucille's hand away. "What I do know is how easy it was for you to abandon me and cling to the richest guy who looked at you."
"You're a damn disgrace," Lucille snapped.
Rin shrugged. "If I'm a damn disgrace, then you're a damn whore. I guess it works." She took my hand, tugging it gently.
Lucille's look could kill as she looked at our clasped hands. "Fucking fag."
Rin pulled me away, not even bothering to look bag. "Fucking bitch. And I'm bisexual, actually."
Ooooh Rin's got a mouth on her! Lucille is such a bitch okay. And poor Jax, my baby, just wanted to go on a date and it turned into Jersey Shore or something. Okay see you next update sweet peas!! Xoxo.
