Lost without him

Maggie's  pov

When you get a feeling that no one can hurt you, savor it..

Because time you feel safe again, something gets screwed up and things  go to shit

Trust me

I would know

I'm walking alone in the woods right now

Wondering why?

We about 2 days ago, we got surrounded by walkers

There was no way out

I tried to find Glenn or anyone really but walkers were caving in on me and I had to run away

I don't know if anyone else made it out alive

I didn't leave prepared either

I only have, a knife, a gun with about 4 bullets left, a bottle of water, and a protein bar

I have a backpack with a few things such as rope, a lighter, just generally things

I don't have enough things to survive for long

Maybe a week or two

I need food

I've been trying to find Glenn since the attack

I hope he made it out

I walk a mile or two more and find a car

It's getting pretty dark and I need a place to sleep

I open the door that's unlocked and climb in the backseat

I lock the doors and make sure everything is locked up and secure

I lay on the seat and start thinking about everything

I miss Glenn so much

I cry silently into the seat of the car and eventually cry myself to sleep

I wake up and I'm in the same position

I hear walkers beating against the door

I sigh and sit up

I shove the door open and the walker falls back

I stab it in its head before it gets back up

I breath heavy and lean against the door of the car

I sigh and gather my stuff

I continue walking

I don't even know where the hell im going

I know

I'm going insane

I realize that I'm wasting my time living

I collapse on the pavement and put my head in my hands

"What am I suppose to do?!" I scream

A hand gently touches my shoulder

I flinch and pull my gun out and point it behind me

Carol stands behind me

I drop my gun on the ground and carol sits beside me

I give her a hug and she hugs me back

"Wha- what am I suppose to do?" I whisper

"We can't give up on this life, we have to keep fighting." She says and pats my back

I let tears fall down my face and they drip on my lap

"I-I can't find Glenn.. I don't know if he's dead or alive." I sob

She pulls me into her shoulder

"It's okay, I saw him get out. He was looking for you then walkers started swarming in, I saw him run into the woods." She says

"He's alive!" I look at her

She nods her head and now I'm crying tears of joy

We both stand up

I pick my gun up and put it back into the holster

"He went this way." She says

I nod and we start walking that way

"Thank you carol, wither you know it or not. You just saved my life because I was gonna kill my self." I sigh

She pats my back

"We'll find him." She sighs

I nod and we walk for it seems like forever

We finally come up on truck

I open the door and the keys are in it

Thank you God

I crank the truck up and it works!

Me and carol get it

Carol drives and we head down the road

Unfortunately after almost two hours of lookin

We ran out of gas

"Shit." I say as we start slowing down

Carol sighs

We jump out the truck and were met with 3 walkers

I kill 2 and carol kills 1

We both take a tiny sip of water and walk down the same damn boring road
