Stubborn love

He couldn't help but notice,
The emptiness within her,
She was too stubborn to realize,
He truly wanted to help her,
He wanted to save her,
He saw true beauty in her,
That he had never seen in anyone,
She had opened his eyes,
To what life had to offer,
While she was wondering why,
Why it was so bad for her,
When she could have anyone see,
Just what true beauty is,
She never believed,
When people told her she was pretty,
For she knew that her mind was not,
She knew she was no good,
Until he came along,
And even then she was too stubborn,
To realize he truly thought,
She was beautiful.
