I was screaming,
I was breaking,
But you didn't care,
I needed you,
I needed comfort,
But you were never there,
Now that I'm older,
Now that I understand,
I forgive you,
But I will never forget,
What you put me through,
Too much hurt,
One too many scars,
One too many battles,
I was left to fight alone,
But I'm stronger,
I'm alive,
I understand,
That you can't force anyone to stay,
No matter how much it hurts you,
If you love them let them go,
If they come back,
They were never meant to go.
