JOHN POV

I walked over to the side door and knocked twice. "Ringo, come out here will ya? I've got a bird for you to meet." I walked over to the door beside it and did the same knock.

Ringo came out first half-dressed. He was only in his boxers and a button-up shirt. At the moment, he was in the process of putting on his tie. I shook my head and gave him a wide-eye look. "Now look 'ere Ringo, you better put some pants on or else you'll scare her off."

"Scare who off? There's no one here except you and-"

He turned the corner of our dressing room and saw Kerin sitting on the loveseat, her back to us. She was reading a magazine and George was over there with her trying to give her a cigarette but she politely refused. I knew a girl like her probably didn't smoke, and I'll bet she doesn't drink either.

She must've realized the sudden silence and turned her attention away from her magazine and faced the red-faced Ringo. She held her hands up to her mouth, obviously trying to stifle her laughter.

I shooed him away and he ran back to his room. Before closing the door he turned to me and whispered. "Hey John!" and then gave me a big thumbs up. I scrunched my nose and shook my head. As pretty as Kerin was she wasn't my type. She's a little young too, only 19 I believe she said. She reminds me of one of my sisters and too be honest I think she's a little afraid of me.

Paul came out through his door and walked out into the living room while clicking his belt buckle into place. He ran his hand through his locks and stopped in the entryway.

"Well, well, well what do we have here Johnny? Is she yours?"

"Well I guess you could say that but-"

Kerin quickly jumped off of the couch and approached Paul and I. She held her hand out for Paul to shake and introduced herself. A big smile spread across her face.

"Hi. Um, I'm Kerin. And I'm not John's." She took a quick glance at me and then went back to Paul. "It's great to meet you." I could see her blushing and it kinda struck a nerve in me. Sure all the girls usually had a thing for Paul but...I don't know. I guess it still made me a bit jealous after all. Besides, I'm the one who had to carry her up all the bloody stairs.

I clapped my hands together and tried to get the show on the road. "Alright kiddies, we have to start heading down to the stage soon. We don't want to leave America waiting after all."

Paul and Kerin were still staring at each other and I went over to George and pulled him out the door with me. I hated storming out of there but I couldn't help it.

"Hey hey! Watch it will you? Look you obviously have a thing for that girl so why don't you go out and do something about it?"

"George, I don't have a thing for her. I told you, she's not my type. Besides, she obviously doesn't like me anyway. Now c'mon I need to tune my guitar."

"Alright. But can we at least wait for Ringo? I'll go get him."

I dropped my hands to my side and sighed. "Okay. But make it quick. I don't want to stay here longer than I need to."

"Don't worry It'll only take a second." He had started making his way back to the door of our dressing room but stopped himself. He turned around and pointed his finger at me. "Were'nt you gonna bring that girl down to the stage for the show?"

"Well I was but she obviously has different plans now. Go get him. If Paul wants her at the show he can invite her himself."

George shrugged his shoulders and went back in. A minute or so later he came back out with Ringo and a couple of water bottles.

"Well?" I asked him. He gave me a confused look. "Well what's Paul doing in there?"

George looked at Ringo, expecting some help from our bandmate. "Oh you mean with Kerin? Well they've finally stopped staring at each other and now they're sitting on the couch all cuddled up next to each other and-" Ringo gave George a quick kick in the shin and grinned at me.

"Sooooo...you do have feelings for the girl huh?"

"No Ringo I don't. Now come on let's go."

We walked over to the staircase and stopped at the second floor, which is where we would be performing. There was a crew member waiting for us there, and she handed George and I our guitars. Ringo's drums were already set up and he fixed them the way he wanted it to be. He took the drumsticks off and played a couple beats and began to twist a few knobs on one of the drums. George and I sat down on one of the set pieces and started to tune.

Thankfully he broke the silence. "We're doing All my Loving first right?"

"Yeah, and I'll have to ask Paul or Brian about the rest of the set list." I replied. Sure enough Brian came over.

'Hey lads how's it-" He looked at us and realized that one Beatle was missing. "Where's Paul?"

"He's with John's girl." Ringo replied. I stomped my foot on the stage and stood up to face him.

"Alright fellas. Once and for all, Kerin is not my girl. I guess she's Paul's now. I want all this shit to stop okay? There never was anything going on between me and her and there won't be in the future alright?" Ringo was looking down at his drums and twirling his drumsticks through his fingers. I felt bad to be so harsh but I had enough with this rubbish. Kerin could like any guy she wanted to. Besides I had only known her for an hour or two.

Just one thing bothered me about the whole thing. She hadn't run up to Paul at the entrance to the theater, she came up to me. So why is Paul getting all the glory while I'm sitting here lonely. She never gave me a proper thank you either. Now I knew I didn't like her...I think.

"Well can someone go get Paul?" Brian asked. "You still have to meet with Sullivan and find out the order for the show."

"I'll get him," I volunteered, "Just don't practice without me."

I slugged my way back up the stairs, just like I had done with Kerin in my arms.

I really needed to get that girl off my mind. What happened to the whole sister vision?

Once I had made it to our room I barged through the door. I found them still curled up on the couch just like Ringo and George had left them. I cleared my throat to get their attention. Kerin quickly turned towards me.

"Oh hey John! I was just talking with Paul um. Do you need something?"

Who does this girl think she is?

"Don't worry Kerin, he's come for me." He got up and took Kerin's hand to pull her up off the couch. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek which made her blush a bright pink. "Oh by the way love, would you like to come down to the stage to watch the show tonight?"

I knew that would happen. Kerin took a glance at me and quickly turned back to Paul.

"Actually Paul, John had already invited me down to the stage. But of course I'll come! Double invitations right?"

I laughed along with her. "That's right Kerin." I quipped. "Now c'mon Paul, Brian's waiting for you. Kerin, you can come to rehearsal too because I don't know if I'll have time to come up and get you before the show."

And with that the three of us went out the door to head back downstairs. I turned off the light and locked the dressing room door. When I went to follow Kerin and Paul, their arms were linked and Kerin's head was resting on Paul's shoulder.

This was going to be one weird night.
