*7 YEARS AFTER HARMONIC CONVERGENCE*

today is a big day for a lot of people. its been 7 years since harmonic convergence and people from far and wide have gathered in the fire nation to celebrate the wedding of the fire lords grandson, Iroh II and the love of his life Asami sato.

(a/n sorry but I had to put irohsami in some where =) don't worry makorra will be coming soon)

it was to be a huge wedding with giant numbers of people from all over the globe. there were high fire nation officials, Tenzin and his family of air benders, the white lotus, Katarra, Kya, Bumi, the republic city police force, Verrick (with Juli of course), Mako, Bolin, and who could forget Korra. plus many more.

as the guest started to pour in more and more greetings and conversations started to grow, many of the people here got to reconnect with old friends which they haven't seen in many years.

it was to be a beautiful out door ceremony in the lushes gardens of the fire palace, the gardens were decorated with red and white cloths, flowers and decorations. a man in a tuxedo stood at the entrance announcing everybody who came in.

"INTRODUCING, THE AVATAR KORRA AND FAMILY" spoke the man in a very posh like manner. as korra stepped into the gardens with her family a few people turned there heads but then went back to there conversations.

"Korra!" said jinora and ikki as they went up to great her

"jinora! ikki! the two of you look stunning, and so grown up" stated korra upon seeing them, it was true though the air girls had grown to be beautiful teenagers.

"speak for your self" said ikki

"yea" jinora chimed in "that dress looks amazing on you korra" 

korra was wearing a beautiful modern blue southern water tribe dress, her hair was let down and she looked simply gorgeous.

"this place looks amazing! just look at all the fire nation decorations" korra said admiring the scene

then out of nowhere varrick appeared to join the conversation "see didn't i tell you! they make the best red stuff here, juli go or-" he was cut off by the an announcement

"INTRODUCING, BOLIN THE LEAD STAR IN THE FAMOUS TV SERISE NUK-TUCK HERO OF THE SOUTH, AND HIS BROTHER MAKO OF THE REPUBLIC CITY POLICE FORCE" spoke the man at the front gate

korra turned to see mako and bolin, she was about to go great them 'when yet another announcement was made.

"IF EVERYBODY COULD PLEASE TAKE THERE SEATS, THE FIRE LORD AND LADY HAVE ARRIVED AND ARE TO BE SOON FOLLOWED BY THE BRIDE AND GROOM!" this time he announced it louder than usual and everybody scurried to there assigned seats

korra made a mental note to talk to mako and bolin later.

music started playing and everybody was seated awaiting the arrival of the bride and groom. firstly the fire lord zuko and fire lady mai were carried in on a chariot, they were both dressed in traditional fire nation attire.

as they were carried to there seats the both shot a little smile to there old friend katarra who politely nodded and smiled back.

next was the bridal party and finally it was time for the bride and groom. everyone stood up and all the news reporters had their cameras and note pads ready.

because this was the wedding of the fire lords grandson it was a big deal to the media for months people were debating over the simplest things like weather the bride will wear a traditional wedding dress, some thing modern or a fire nation robe.

as soon as the bride and groom stepped through the gates linking arms everyone was stunned. general iroh was of course wearing his generals uniform, it was cleaned and pressed and his medals had obviously been polished.

asami on the other hand managed to shock everyone she was wearing a modern 20s style dress with a traditional fire nation sash and fire nation accessories.

immediately there were excessive amounts camera flashes but the bride and groom managed to keep cool. they walked down the aisle smiling as the music still played in the background, some of the younger girls in the audience squealed and the elderly smiled.

it was a magical ceremony, they managed to incorporate themselves with irohs fire nation heritage and even though asamis father couldn't make asami was still happy that she got to finally start a new chapter in her life.

(a/n sorry for that now on to the makorra)

after the ceremony was over everyone gathered inside the grand hall for the giant wedding feast that had been prepared.

korra looked around the room for people she knew to mingle with.

"korra" she heard her name being called and turned around to see who it was

"mako" she said and hugged him "its been awhile hasn't it?"

"yea its probably been months" mako answered truthfully, lately they hadn't been all that close. korra had been back and forth from republic city doing avatar duties and mako had been busy with the police force.

luckily though everyone's schedules managed to clear up before the wedding.

korra and mako spent the evening together just talking and eating. half way through the night a slow dance came on in the background, a bunch of people started to pair up and make there way to the dance floor.

mako grabbed korras arm "lets go dance!" he said, at first korra looked hesitant but then mako continued "come on korra, its just one harmless little dance"

korra gave in and followed mako to the dance floor.

mako put his arms around her waist and korra wrapped her arms around his neck, they leaned into each other and started to sway slowly to the music.

"korra?" mako asked after a minute

"yea" korra answered

"do you remember that day all those years ago, after harmonic convergence when we broke up officially."

"how can i forget" korra whispered

"do you remember how we said that we would always love each other but it just wouldn't work out" mako said carefully and korra nodded in response. "well, do u think now that we're adults and have grown as people that maybe we might be ready, that it would work this time? korra what I'm basically tiring to say is maybe we should give us another chance, and i meant it when i said i would always love you"

korra let his words sink in than looked up into his eyes "mako, i'll always love you too and i cant believe I'm saying this but maybe you're right, maybe we are finally ready, but we have to promise ourselves that if this doesn't workout then we'll never try again for the sake of our hearts"

"so is that yes then?" mako asked "korra will you go out with me?"

"yes" korra smiled and tilted her head up to kiss him.
