"Well good luck ell! I'll see you later okay I'll wait for you out side of your class okay!" Jaz said before stumbling off to her dance class. "I'll see you later!" I shouted to jaz as she walked down the hall. I stood outside of class for a second, trying to ease my nerves. The halls were empty, and everyone was already in class.

"Okay Elly you can do this.1.2..3..." I whispered to myself and on the count of three I opened the door to the class. Everyone's eyes glued to me. "Oh you must be new, come in dear, look sit right over there next to Collin." She said pointing to the seat right at the back of the class. It was next to Collin Jones. "Okay." I said Putting my head down trying to avoid making eye contact with anyone in the room.

"Okay you may talk quietly amongst your selves, but I want this completed by the end of class or you'll be taking it home for home work." I started to look through my bag for a pencil. When I realised that I didn't have any.

"I'm really sorry but... Do you have a pencil I could borrow?" I asked, "it's your first day of school, shouldn't you bring a pencil?" Collin questioned, raising his eyebrows at me. "I must have left them at home." I said twiddling with my thumbs feeling super awkward. "Fine!" He sighed rolling his eyes passing me the pencil from his hand and taking out a new one for him self. "Thanks."  I replied taking the pencil from him "don't mention it!" He said starting to draw on the pice of paper I front of him.

"So where you from!" Collin asked never taking his eyes away from his paper. "Round here." I said."k." Collin said not taking his eyes off his work. I don't think he really cared about talking to me to be honest.

I didn't know what to draw so I kinda just started to day dream watching Collin intently draw on his pice of paper. "Aren't you gonna start?"

" Huh?"I asked still lost in my train of thought.

"Your drawing. aren't you gonna start it?" Collin asked pointing to the blank peace of paper I front of me.

"Oh yeah sorry, I was just watching you." Okay what the actual fuck. Well now I sound like a actual creep.

"No need to apologise." He said going back to his drawing. " you're really good." I added trying to make the situation less awkward. "Uh thanks." He said, actually taking his eyes away from his work and actually looked me in the eyes.

Once class was over I waited outside for jaz but she didn't come. The halls became  more and more empty, until  I was on my own, well or so I thought."hey what you waiting for?" Collin asked. "Oh errrr, my friend jaz was supposed to meet me out here... But I guess she forgot." I sort of laughed, even though I was kinda pissed that she had forgotten about me.

"Well, I'm skipping so I can take you to your next class if you want." Collin said taking a cigarette from his back pocket and putting it behind his ear. "Yeah sure." I said taking out my schedule to see what I had next. "Math." I said passing him the paper to show him what room I was in. "K, I'll take ya." He said passing me back my schedule.

As we walked to class, Collin started to make small talk. "So who's your friend?" He asked. "Huh?" I said not knowing what he was talking about. "Your friend that was supposed to wait for you."

"Oh... Well her names jaz, well jasmine Anderson?"

"Oh yes little miss princess her self." Collin added. "Yeah you know her?" I asked. "Who doesn't !" He said rolling his eyes.

"And erm Dan Clarke?" I added.

"Oh yeah i know mr perfect." Collin laughed.
"What?" I questioned." Dan Clarke, captain of the football team, mr girls love me, I am amazing!" He laughed. "Uh I don't know, I guess." I replied not knowing what to say.

"Yeah he's a douche." Collin said. "I didn't know he was captain of the football team." I added."yeah well he is. "

"What? What's wrong with Dan?" I asked. "Nothing. Nothing." He smiled. "Okay..." I brushed it off. Although he just low key just insulted my best friends.

"Well here we are, room 13b" Collin stopped. "Thanks, I'll see you later?" I asked " no you won't... I kinda... prefer to be alone." Collin added taking the cigarette from behind his ear and twiddling it between his fingers.

"Okay...bye." I said turning a round to open the door to my class. "See ya around." He added walking down the hall. Just as I was about to open the door Collin turned around and shouted from the other side of the corridor "I never got your name!". "Elly!" I shouted back! "Elly what?" He said as he kept walking backwards, so he was still facing me. "Ryder!"
"See ya round Elly Ryder!" He said turning back around.

After math I met Dan and Jaz.

"Jaz where were you?!" I exclaimed as she came jogging towards me and Dan." I know, I know I'm so sorry. I kinda got caught up in stuff."she said. "Well did you find your way to math okay?" Dan asked rubbing my back.

"Yeah fine someone ended up showing me." I said tucking the lose strands of hair be hind my ear. "Oh who?" Jaz asked taking her water bottle out of her bag. "Oh I never got their name!" I lied I didn't want to tell them that Collin had taken me to class, I knew they'd be weird about it, especially after what they had said this morning.

"Oh okay." Jaz said putting her water bottle back in her bag."well I'm I'm starving! Let's go eat " Jaz said putting her back pack on, and started to head outside.

We sat on the bleachers, and Jaz pulled out a bag of chips and we shared them in between the three of us, I did have that many though, I couldn't get it out of my head that Collin talked that way about Jaz and Dan. And then I got it.

"Hey Jaz!" Said some girl, jogging up to us. "Oh hey Malissa!" Jaz said signalling her to come over to us. She gave me a weird look, but I just brushed it off. "Hey Malissa! This is Elly, she's new!" Jaz said giving the girl a wide smile.

"Hey" I waved at her. "Oh hey... Jaz ,everyone's been looking for you! Where have you been?" she asked just looking at only Jaz."oh with Ell." Jaz said looking towards me and Dan. "Oh well you should come sit with us!"Malissa said taking Jaz's hand.

"Oh well can ell come?" Jaz said taking her hand back. "Errr I don't think there's enough seats left on the table." Malissa said tacking Jaz's hand. "But I can't leave Elly." She said signalling over to me.

"Please every ones waiting for you." Malissa rolled her eyes. Jaz looked over at me waiting for me to say something. "Go." I smiled. "Are you sure?" Jaz asked. "Yeah I'll be fine I mean I've got Dan." I laughed even though I was kinda pissed off. "Okay I'll only be like 5 minutes" she said walking away with Malissa.

"It's okay El you still have me!" Dan laughed leaning back putting his arm around me. I laughed in response. "Sooooo... I guess jaz is pretty popular." I laughed "yeah surprising!" Dan laughed brushing his hair with his hands.

"Dan where you been man?" When some guy started running up to Dan."hey man, this is Elly!" Dan said pointing over to me."Well hello Elly." The guy smiled, giving me a wink."Hey." I smiled back.

"So you two??" He asked pointing over to us. "Huh oh no." I laughed feeling kinda awkward. "Well could have fooled me." The boy laughed.

"What did you come up here for Jake." Dan asked rolling his eyes. "Well to see you," he laughed. "No uh coach wants to see you." Jake added.

"Ugh fine." Dan said getting up, rolling his eyes. "Elly you coming?" Dan asked. "Eh yeah." I replied not wanting to be alone "come on then." He said passing me my bag.

Once we got to dans locker room. Dan became the doucheyest douch you have ever seen. At one point I even saw him knock some kid over. This was not the Dan I knew. When he was with all his football guys he suddenly changed. I kinda started to sneak away hoping he wouldn't notice.
