Chapter 4

Elena lead Lucy through the house into the basement. It was lined with stone and looked more like a dungeon than a basement.

"Tell me why Elijah is here." Lucy stopped and placed her hands on her hands on her hips.

"Elijah is the the bad guy is he not?" Lucy snorted.

"I hardly think so. He is very honourable and kind. Klaus is the bad guy."

"You know Klaus?" Elena whispered.

"Of course. If you know Elijah you know Klaus. If you're me you know Klaus better than Klaus knows Klaus." Lucy ended her sentence in a mumble. "But that's a story for another day. Where is he?"

Elena turned around and opened a big bulky door. Sure enough Elijah laid in the floor. His skin looked cracked. "He hasn't awoken v

yet?" Elena shook her head. "And you removed the dagger how long ago?"

"I don't know about 10 minutes ago. Wait- how do you know he was daggered, not dead."

"I would now is he was dead. So would a fair amount of people. He should waking up soon."

Five minutes have past and Elijah hasn't woken. Lucy was getting impatient. She started tapping her fingers on the cold, stone floor.

A minute passed, then 2, then 3. Finally Elijah gasped and sat up. Before he could register anything. Lucy grabbed his face and collided their lips together. Elijah placed his hand on her small of her back.

Lucy continuously touched his face like she was making sure he was real.

"You can't kill Klaus." Lucy interfered.

"Why?"

"You just can't. You can't even try."

"She's right Klaus has to be left alone. He'll eventually lay back. Understand?" Elijah said firmly. Elena nodded.

"Come one Elijah. Let's go home." Lucy started to walk out and Elijah followed but stopped at the door. He looked back at Elena.

"Thank you for not only freeing me, but also Lucia. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask." And left to catch up with Lucy.

The couple of Lucia and Elijah were in Lucy's loft apartment

Elijah sifted through the drawers looking for sleepwear, while Lucy was in the bathroom brushing her long hair in the mirror. "It will fell good to be in a bed for once instead of a coffin or floor." Elijah said. After finding a pair of pyjama pants but not shirt.

"You're being dramatic you were daggered for 3 days, Bellissimo."[3] Lucy smiled and came out of the bathroom. She caught sight of a daylight ring on the dresser. Luke's ring.

"All the time away from you my dear." Elijah removed the covers and got under.

"Elijah, since you're back. I need a favour." She sat on the bed by his legs.

"Anything."

"It's been 5 months since I visited Lucio. I want to see him soon." She picked her nail.

"Of course. How about we go tomorrow?"

"No, Elijah. For once can you let me do something by myself. I'm 649 years old and you treat me like a modern day 13 year old. Can't you let go this one time, it's only for one day. Please?" They were both silent until Elijah responded.

"Okay. You can go by yourself, but you must be careful. Lucio isn't exactly stable." Elijah sighed. Lucy grinned from ear to ear.

"Oh thank you, Bellissimo." She kissed his cheek and got into bed on the other side of him.

(Heads up that this will probably change the story line farther in.) so I was complaining to my friends about it and then I realized how big of a crush I have on Elijah. ❤️
