SYDNEY'D P.O.V
How could he think he likes me? After everything I told him thinking we were on the same page with our feelings. I can't believe I was that stupid. Goes to show you who you can trust.
I just needed to get out of that cafeteria. I couldn't stand there and listen to any sorry excuse Toby had.
I was a happy yet mad for the girls to follow me. I wanted to be alone but needed someone to talk to also. My feelings about everything seemed to be going crazy. I didn't know what I wanted anymore.

NARRATOR P.O.V
Sydney wasn't going to go into hiding again. She would hold her head high and her finger even higher. She had her friends on her side now. Even Kris understood, and he's friends with Toby. They actually had a little deal going on. Kris would pretty much be friends with both of them but Kris would tell Sydney all the information about Toby. Kris would sit with Sydney one day and Toby the next. It was a good system.
Kris was like a brother to Sydney and Sydney was like a sister. That bond between them would never change no matter what happened.
Sydney was glad she always had Kris to rely on. Someone who she can trust, she doesn't even trust Adi that much.
Sydney had to find another place to sit at lunch. They got a table towards the front luckily. It felt empty, though. Without Jackson it always felt empty but now Toby and Kris, it just didn't feel right.
Sydney wondered if the other girls felt this way. Sydney dismissed the thought and went back to eating.
Adison cleared her throat, "So Kris told me some new...unsatisfing information."
Sydney looked up waiting fo Adi to begin again. "Toby has been..fooling around I guess you can call it..with other girls," She paused. Sydney shrugged her shoulders like it was no big deal even though she felt like her heart had been crushed. "Lots of other girls." Adison finished, carefully inspecting Sydney looking for any sign of emotion that Sydney didn't want to show.
"Typical high school drama. I'm done eating." Sydney said and walked to the trash can with her plateful of food.
If you knew Sydney, she always finsished her lunch.

Sydney wanted to be able to confide in her mom. Her mother wasn't the one who was always at work and such. Her mom is an elementary school teacher and Sydney always loved bonding with her mom by helping her grade papers or something along those lines.
When Syd got home and saw her mom with her reading glasses on in her recliner and the light dimmed she thought it was the perfect time to spill everything.
She was planning to start with Jackson and the hitting.

Her mother held her close. "Honey, I'm sorry yo had to go through that. I wish I had known. Obviously I can't do anything about it now."
Sydney hadn't even gotten to the Toby part before she broke down crying. Sydney never even thought she had emotion towards this topic until she told her mom.
"What do you want me to do? Why are you telling me now?" Her mom said in stern yet kind tone. How those two mix, no idea.
"I didn't finish. At school this new boy named Toby. I told him because when we saw that movie he tried to kiss me. I guess I'm just afraid. He was understanding and he cared but now he's acting like I don't matter. He sleeps around with all these girls like some...some player." She choked. It was alright in her head but difficult to say outloud.
"Remember when you were 5 years old when your father was still around. That night when he left I told you-" Her mom got cut off.
"Never grow up and get a boyfriend, guys are inconsiderate ___holes. Yeah mom I remember." Her and her mom giggled.
"Yeah, well I wasn't joking, this is what I mean. Were you guys dating?"
"Well, no not exactly." Sydney said.
"Then..." Her mom sighed. "I know how much it hurts but the only thing I can say is if you weren't dating you don't own him and he has the freedom to do as he wishes. I wish it were different and I wish I didn't have to say that but I do so you can understand. You know what I mean?" And Sydney did. She new exactly what her mom meant. And it hurt. But, it was reality.
"Yes, yes I do." Sydney said. "I'm a little tired I think I'm going to head to bed." She said while whipping off her cheeks and under her eyes with her hand. She had her crappy $2.00 mascara running down her cheeks. Her puffed lips no longer had the pink shiny lipgloss she always adored.
"Night." She said and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and what-not.
But, she wasn't just going in to brush her teeth. She was going to do exactly what Jackson used to do. Cut.
-FLASHBACK-
SYDNEY'S P.O.V
I was over Jackson's house, my boyfriend obviously. He thought I was coming in half an hour but I decided to suprise him.
His mom opened the door. I really hate her for what she does to Jackson but I put a smile on my face and act like we're best friends.
"Where's Jack?" I asked innocently after we had a little chit-chat.
"In the bathroom I think. Just go right in haha I don't think he's using the toilet he was in the shower but it stopped. Probably shaving or something. I'm sure he wouldn't care."
Like I've never seen him naked before who cares if I go in? I walked upstairs silently so he wouldn't hear and knocked.
"What?!" I heard Jackson yell from inside. I opened the door to see him fully clothes and sitting on the side of the tub. With a razor. I shut the door behind me and stared in aw. He quickly got up and threw the razor in the tub. It was too late, though. I already saw.
He slammed me against the door, blood gushing from his arm and got close to my face, "You tell anyone and I will kill you. You hear me?!"
I nodded quickly. That was the first time I saw him cut and I was ever physically abused. He backed away and put his head into his hands and I sobbed quitely and slid onto the floor.
"Baby, I'm so sorry. I'll never touch you again. I'm so sorry." He said and cradled me.
