Days later and here I am in a small town, supposedly where Katherine is.

The days before, I spent partying and drinking.

Oh well, if I'm going to die, might as well have fun until then.

"Finally a familiar face." I heard someone say. I turned around to see Katherine.

"Hello Katherine." I stared at her blankly. "Long time no see, I suppose."

"I suppose so." She mocked before smiling. "What brings you here?"

"Looking for some fun before I, uh, kick the bucket." I said nonchalantly.

"Kick the bucket? What does that mean?"

"None of your concern. Now do you want to join or do I need to go elsewhere?" I asked, smirking at her.

I walked up to see Katherine pinning Elena to a truck by her throat. Fun.

"I'm impressed. I didn't think you would find me here. Oh well it's a beautiful place to die." Katherine stated before she was thrown to the ground.

"I couldn't agree more." Rebekah said, looking down on her.

I began to clap, walking up to them. "Well well well. Would you look at this? My former friend working with aunty Becks."

I helped Katherine up, "Hello traitors."

We sat in a small diner. Rebekah next to Katherine and Elena next to me.

"Where's the cure?" Elena asked Katherine.

"What? No 'I'm here to avenge my annoying little brother' speech?" Katherine avoided the question.

"People die. We move on." Elena sipped her tea.

"I like to think of Jeremy dying as punishment for what you did to my uncle." I sneered to Elena, but she just ignored me.

"After turning off our humanity switch. So sad for Damon though. His precious snowflake of frailty...gone. Well if we're going to be a while, I'm gonna grab some menu's." Katherine says, only to be stabbing in the hand with a fork.

"You're not going anywhere." Rebekah sneers.

"I forgot how charming you were." Katherine sarcastically remarks.

"I'm surprised you remember me at all, seeing as you were so busy wedging yourself between my brothers."

"Oh my gosh! What happened?" A waitress says, coming over.

"I'm fine Jolene. You didn't see anything." Katherine compelled.

"Every minute you two waste yapping is another minute we give Stefan and Damon to find us." Elena stated.

"And you're scared that they'll turn on that pesky little humanity." I provoked, chuckling coldly. "Pathetic, really."

"They would bring you back too, you know." She answered causing me to roll my eyes.

"I'd like to see them try." I sneered before glancing at my aunt. "I'm bored, goodbye."

Rebekah grabs my hand, "You're not going anywhere. You've killed too many people, you're coming home."

"Actually, I'm not." I turn my wrist up, revealing the growing mark. She gasps, and let's go, giving me a worried look. I smirk at her before walking away.

I walk around the town, feeding left and right. I spot Stefan, and immediately try to run, but my uncle stops me.

"Cassandra." He states, obviously knowing about my humanity.

"Elijah." I state, before trying to break free, but it's no use.

"Niklaus told me about your situation." He said, grabbing my marked wrist. I groan in pain. "We'll have to fix that, won't we?"

"I'm going to kill you." I sneer, but he only chuckles. He glances over at Stefan, who gives him a pleading look. He sighs before breaking my neck.

I wake up to an unfamiliar room. I look around and see Stefan sitting on the edge of the bed.

"If it isn't little Salvatore." I said, trying to stand.

"Hey." He says, getting up. "Probably shouldn't stand up. You're a little weak."

"Oh and now you care?" I say, standing up anyway, but soon falling. Stefan catches me and places me back on the bed.

"I always cared." He sighed. "I have something to tell you."

"If it's a poor excuse to turn my humanity switch on, then you can shove it." I sneer, but he grabs my shoulders, forcing me to look at him.

"I love you. I knew it the minute I met you. I'm sorry it took me so long to catch up. I just got stuck." He admits. I stare at him in surprise before closing my eyes. I felt it, the humanity was back. Tears starting streaming down my face.

"What have I done?" I whisper, looking up at him. He hugs me and whispers things like, "shh" and "it's gonna be okay."

"Stefan I'm so sorry." I whisper into his shoulder.

"Don't be. We've all done it." He says, rubbing my back. "I love you."

I let out a small smile, "You have no idea how much I've wanted to hear that." He chuckles and moves the hair out of my face before giving me a small kiss.

Sorry this chapter was kind of short. This whole book has been written before my break so my writing is garbage. So bare with me with this book and hopefully the next book will be better.
