Chapter twelve - The Ride.
---Hana's POV---
"Hell no." I said simply standing about 10 feet from his motorcycle. "This is the one day I chose not to die. So I am not doing it." I said mostly just trying to be funny. He laughs a bit as he walked over to me putting his helmet on me. "You already agreed and you won't die." He says as he takes off his jacket and putting it on me. I figured out it was a padded jacket. "Your smart. A padded jacket." I said complimenting him. "Thanks." He said with an amused face as it engulfs me in a black leather and padding mush. I giggle at myself and then try to hide it but laughs harder as I lift my hand but it is covered with the sleeve of the jacket. KingsLee laughs too which makes me laugh a little more. "C'mon lets go." He says which thinking about getting on that thing makes my stomach turn. "You know I think I can deal with out my glasses today." I say trying to unzip the jacket. "No you can't come on." He says grabbing my arm and leading me to the bike. He gets on and looks at me expectantly but I just stare at my feet. "Don't make me put you on this bike because I will." He says in a strange voice. I look up at him alarmed. He smirks a bit and gets off the bike. When he gets close to me to pick me up I move away. "I don't do being picked up." I say holding out a hand in front of me for him to stop where he is. He stops for a moment and then thinks. He shrugs a bit with an evil glint in his eyes so I let out a small shriek and then turn to run. I was too slow though as he grabs my arm swinging me back to him as he picks me up bridal style. I was laughing for a moment before I realized I was off the ground then I started to panic. "PUT ME DOWNNN PUT ME DOWN NOW!!!! SOMEONE HELP ME OH MY GOD I AM GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!! HELPPPPP!!!!!!" I was yelling until I was on the bike sitting. "Shut up." He grumbles and then sits in front of me. "You are loud as hell." He says making me laugh. "I said I don't do being picked up I freak out." I said he turns his head to look at me. "I can tell." He says making me laugh again. I try to put as much space between us as I can and put my hands on his shoulders.
Damn he is muscular though. I never realized it cause he always has this damn jacket on. It makes me almost mad at the jacket for hiding his muscles- what the hell am I thinking? Seriously?!?! -If someone can guess where I somewhat got that reference and comments it I will give them a shout out!- I clear my throat and shake my head. He starts the bike which I ended up loving the sound of and then he does something I don't like. He grabs my legs sliding me up to him and then moves my hands around his stomach. "Much safer." He says. I felt awkward because I don't usually get this close to anyone but Cole and JayLeen.
He then speeds off which makes my stomach do flips and I have to close my eyes and concentrate on breathing so I don't freak out. After a while when we are at a stop sign and he asked where I lived then did I realize he is taking me to my house and he is going to know where I live and UGHH whatever. "Take this right." I tell him, I left my eyes open so I could give him directions. Once we where on my street I tell him which house and I contemplate between if I should go to my house or JayLeens? I'll go to mine since I am never there. Once he cuts the engine he helps me off and takes off the helmet and the jacket. Thankfully I still had my bag on me so I didn't have to try to find my extra pair I keep here. I head over to the door opening it and then slamming it shut closing me eyes and taking a breathe to calm my nerves. My body tingles from being on the bike since it shakes a lot. I jump from the sound of someone clearing their throat.
"Mom!" I tried to say enthusiastically. She must have parked in the garage. "Haven't seen you in a while!" I say going over to her. She is in pajamas and her hair up which is totally different from the work outfits she is usually in. "A month. You haven't seen me in a month." She says with an almost bitter tone. I went over and lightly hugged my mom. "Well good to see you." I say as I go pass her. She grabs my wrist and I turn back to her. "Who is out there?" She asked. I paused for a moment remembering KingsLee is out there. "Oh, um... He gave me a ride so I can get my glasses." I said pulling form her reach and then heading to my room. When I was in my room I went to my mirror and checked my hair then just out of curiosity I lifted my shirt up so I could see my stomach. I haven't looked at it in a couple days and even though it looked and felt better it still had bruises covering it here and there. I put my shirt back down and then go back to the mission at hand. I grabbed my glasses case from my backpack and went back out to a waiting mother. She wasn't around much and also didn't care much so I usually stayed at JayLeen's house more than my own. "Bye mom." I said heading for the door but she stops me. "I want you here tonight. Today is my only day off and I would like to spend it with my only child." She said is a bitter tone. I let out a sigh. "Okay mom." I said grabbing the door handle opening it. "AND." She yells after me making me stop. I roll my eyes then turn towards her. "I want you to be here after school." She says pointing at me. I nod then leave again slamming the door. When I look up KingsLee gives me a questioning look and I hold up my glasses case. He nods with a small smile and then I put it in my backpack while he puts the gear on me and helping me back on to the bike.
