Castiel's POV

The damage was done. Casualties - 23.

23 people dead.

23 lives.

23 souls.

I had killed 23 people. Some innocent. Others not.

Either way. I was a killer, this I already knew but now I was finally realizing all the blood on my hands. It came in waves, like the ocean. Waves of gore and misery. Tsunamis.

Yes.

I was guilty. I was guilty of a lot. But nothing would go unaccounted for. I would pay for what I had done to society.

But this was his fault. If he hadn't have taken so long people wouldn't have died.

I feel like he blames himself for a lot more than he is capable of though. Like the world is on his shoulders. I only know this because we are the same. He is me and I am him. And the only way we are going to make it to the other side, is straight through.

Dean and I could help each other, fix each other. But not if he wasn't going to play the game right. I set the rules and sooner or later he would learn to follow. I was born a leader. A killer. A monster.

I picked up the phone.

911

I dialed quickly. It didn't take long for them to pick up.

"911 what's the emergency?"

"You know who I am so please do not hang up the phone."

"D-Dean Winchester?" His voice was shaky and weary.

"No."

"Castiel." He had more confidence this time.

"Yes sorry to disappoint but Dean couldn't make it."

"Why are you calling? You just went hunting what more do you want?"

"I want Dean Winchester and his beautiful, beautiful head on a stick." I tried to sound menacing  which wasn't hard with my voice.

"How do you expect me to do that? The guy's freaking untouchable."

"Figure it out." I spit before slamming down the phone. Of course I would never harm Dean but in order for our game to continue we need a little privacy. A little alone time.

I grabbed my packed bag and ran out of the hotel room running for the trees.

There's no rest for the wicked.
