Aly walked into the gym for the first time since competing at the Olympics in 2012. The stands were filled and all eyes were on her as she approached the floor. She took a deep breath and smiled at the judges. Her teammates screamed her name as she ran across the floor tumbling through the air. She landed her last tumbling pass and the crowd roared as her teammates rushed toward her.
"Congrats Aly" "Great routine" she smiled and thanked Simone and Laurie but there was one teammate she wanted to see more than anyone and that was Maddy. She hurried past Mihai quickly thanking him as he hugged her. Aly didn't know why but she couldn't wait to see Maddy after her spectacular floor routine. Maddy ran over smiling at her "I'm so proud of you Aly" she whispered to her as she squeezed
Aly tightly. The feeling of Maddy so close to her sent chills through her body. Aly and Maddy quickly realized they were hugging for a bit longer than the others and let go immediately missing the contact of each other. They left the gym with their teammates and headed towards the press conference where they were asked about their astonishing performances to win the world championships. Aly couldn't wait to get away from all the press and take a nap, but the time continued passing all too slowly for Aly.
Eventually the girls were released back to their hotel rooms which they couldn't be more excited about. Although Aly was excited to go to sleep she wasn't all that excited about having to spend time alone with her teammate Madison Kocian. Aly could handle the practices and the press when everyone was around them but being alone with Madison was too much for her to handle. She had always had a crush on the strawberry blonde but recently it was getting harder to ignore the feeling she got every time Maddy stepped into the room.
"Hey all star" Aly snapped out of her thoughts as her teammate jumped down on the bed next to her. 'God she's so beautiful' Aly couldn't help but think to herself as the blonde smiled at her. "What are you thinking about"
Aly blushed and replied "oh nothing, just how great it feels to be back competing at Worlds"
'More like how great it feels to be back by you' she thought to herself. Maddy laughed "It feels great to have you back"
'You have no idea just how great it feels' Maddy thought.
