Chapter 4: Damn Heather!!

The bell rang as I stirred from my sleep, I had fallen asleep in science class. Luckily, I was the only in the class, well other than the teacher, Mr.Witten. Yawning, I grabbed my stuff and slowly stood but then I suddenly felt a ting of pain in my skull. My bags fell from my hands as I gripped my head, Mr. Witten knew what was happening. He stood and gave me a vial full of a milky liquid, I gulped it down as fast as I could manage then gagged. “S-still tas-taste like trash…” I panted out with a slight smirk, Mr. Witten sighed “Eat lunch then take your medicine.” I nodded slowly and collected my fallen items.

I went off to lunch but stopped to let Venus know I was ditching next period. As I was yammering, I couldn’t help but shut up my tail teased at the scent of an angel, more specifically Julie. I continued my conversion but used the eyes on my tail to surveillance the hall and as sure as dawn she walked past with her books in hand and with… that crazy monkey girl who climbed on me and the short blue bird girl, I think her dad is a loan-shark. All three made their way to the cafeteria, as I hurried and ended my conversion. ‘I want to keep those girls away from her… I want to keep her safe. Why do I feel like this... maybe she is different.’

Thoughts like this ran through my head as I follow the direction the girls had gone, I may have been a hallway behind but I could smell her. Julie smelled like pure pink lily, cat, books and…. potstickers!? Okay my nose must be off, or that means I’m hungry! I hurried in the cafeteria​ as everyone I passed was a blur, all I saw were food trays. I grab one and sat by the closet door, as I ate I listened to people talking about different things, thing at home, classes, comics, friends, other bullshit but at one point two name and a place caught my ear… Heather, Julie, West locker hall.

Those words made me freezes and lose my hunger, I sniffed the air to see if she was here but she was already gone. I stood from my seat and took off out the doors,’What’s going on? Why are they together? Heather shouldn’t know about her yet! Whatever it is I had to stop them!’ I raced down the hall to find Julie being held back by Heather and Layla while Alice beat her. My instincts kicked in as I rushed over with my wings spread and eyes turning a cold scarlet shade, a voice from behind me yelled, “HEY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?” I was too pissed to care as I grabbed Alice by the throat, my claws dipping into her porcine bitch skin while my tail yanked Heather to her royal ass. Julie fell to ground as Layla tried to rush me while resulted into a elbow to the jaw. With the slight distraction Heather took the moment to throw damn holy water at me, it burned of course but I didn't care. I threw Alice at her ‘friends’ and grabbed Julie. She was unconscious, must have passed out from pain and shock.

Glaring back at the group of fallen mages, I carried the limp body in my arms to the nurse's office. She was bit heavy but I wasn't paying attention to that, she smelled so pure that it was giving me a headache, and the fact I haven't taken my medicine doesn’t help. I had finally gotten to the door, opening it with my tail and walking through with one problem… my wings won't fit in the door. “Bloody heaven!”, “Hey, language!” my aunt corrected me. “Woman if you don't get this poor angel!” I tried to sound slightly serious but failed because of my giggling. My aunt motioned for me to lay her down on a bed, I did so then stood to leave but something stopped me. I looked down at Julie, she was holding my hand… my body started to warm. I slipped my hand out of hers with a sigh, “I'm going home.”

“Huh, but what about you classes?”, before she could get her whole sentence out I had walked out of the room. I had bigger things to think about than school, like why I have this feeling towards Julie.
