josh // lazy day

   I woke up today to the sound I rain hitting the roof. I loved rain honestly. Josh was still sleeping so I grabbed the remote and turned on some Netflix. I snuggled up in the blankets and pillows then focused on the movie that was playing. Coraline. One of my personal favorites.

   I was about halfway through the movie, then Josh woke up. "Mmm hey babe." He says in his low, morning voice.
"Hey Josh." I say with smile. I pause the movie. "Sleep well?" I ask. Josh nods and sits up. He kisses me on the cheek and played the movie. "Let's have a lazy day." He says.

I smile and nod happily, getting up to pull the blinds down and close the curtains. I jump back in bed and bury Josh and I in the blankets. Josh held me and we continued to watch the movie. After Coraline, we watched many more movies, but in between we got lots of snacks.

   Days like this one didn't happen often but Josh and I loved them. "Let's go to Denny's in our pajamas!" I say. Josh giggles and sits up. "Okay." He says, getting out of bed. We both sprint downstairs and hop right into the car. Josh drives to Denny's.

   When we get there, I get out and Josh does too. He grabs my hand and we walk in, not caring what others thought. The waitress greets us with a silly looking smile. "Just two?" She asks. We both nod and she leads us to a booth. I sit down, then Josh sits down across from me. "I want coffee with creamer, please." I tell the waitress. "Same for me." Says Josh.

The lady soon came back and handed us our drinks. "Thank you." I tell her with a smile. Josh takes a sip of his coffee and sets it back down. "Let's get our food and get back home so we can watch more movies." I say to Josh. "Okay, yeah." He says looking through the menu, me doing the same. "Are we ready to order?" The waitress asks us. We both nod.

"I'm gonna have the Grand Slam Slugger." I tell the lady. She writes it down and nods. "I'll have the Ultimate Omelette." Josh tells her. She writes it down again and smiles. "Your meal will be ready in about 20 minutes." She grabs our menus and walks away and goes back into the kitchen area.

Twenty minutes later, she comes back with our food. "Here ya go." She says, setting our food down. "Thanks." Josh and I say at the same time. He giggles and takes a bite out of his food. I do the same. Josh and I just talk and have a good time and of course, eat. After we finish, he pays and we go home.

   As soon as we get home, we both jump into bed and play another movie. Movie after movie, cuddling throughout the day. Josh rolls towards me and says, "I love you Y/N. Today was an amazing day. I wish I could do this more." He kisses me on the lips then on the cheek, making me smile. "I love you too Joshy. We sure will have days together again, don't worry babe." He smiles. "Cmon, let's get some sleep." He says. We cuddle up and both fall asleep.
