The reason why I haven't uploaded in a while is because... well... I can't think up of a convincing lie. K, read, comment/vote/critique.

The kitchen was thankfully empty.

Anwen sank onto a chair and cried out loud, her voice lost in the loud music playing from outside.

Logan never said that he loved her.

She was the one who was conceited enough to think that he did.

She was the one who was conceited enough to believe that she was pretty enough and good enough for him to love her.

            “Annie?”

            “Are you okay?”

Anwen looked up to see Claire and Chris. They looked genuinely worried as they went over to her, “What happened?” Claire asked sitting next to her and putting an arm around her.

Anwen shook her head, starting to cry all over again.

“Do you want to call Victor or Aria or someone?” Chris asked worriedly, drawing out his cell phone at once.

“No!” Anwen said at once, hiccoughing.

She remembered the twins were friends with Victor and his brothers. Somehow, that made it easier to talk to them and tell them what had happened.

They both listened intently, Claire all the while with her arm comfortingly round her shoulder.

“Oh… Annie- it isn’t your fault,” Claire told her gently.

“He’s a jerk,” Chris agreed, “He should know better than to lead you on like that.”

The door burst open and Heather appeared, pulling Eli along and giggling.

She spotted the twins with Anwen who in no way could hide the fact that she was crying.

            “What happened?” Heather gasped.

The twins exchanged looks before looking to Anwen for permission to explain what had happened.

Anwen knew Heather wouldn’t leave it alone until she found out what happened and nodded.

Chris got her a roll of kitchen towels while Claire explained what had happened.

“Ew! That jerk!” Heather exclaimed at once, “I’m going up there right now!”

“Heather- calm down,” Eli told her, gripping her hand, “I know it’s horrible but Logan has been more or less dating Emily for a couple of months now.”

            “That makes it worse!”

“What kind of man does that to a girl? Especially to a girl he’s supposed to care about?” Chris demanded.

Eli shrugged, not sure what to say seeing how Logan was a friend but at the same time, his girlfriend was looking furious.

“I know- why don’t you call Azure or Laurette or someone from the main house? Maybe you should spend some time over there to chill?” Claire suggested gently.
