The sound of my alarm blaring 'Wilderness' by Nick Jonas woke me up from my slumber and I whined. It's to damn early. 5:45 in the morning. I huffed while laying on my bed for a good 10 minutes before deciding to get up and go shower. If you were wondering who the hell I am, then let me tell you. My name is Zain Robertson, and you guessed it, I'm the youngest daughter of Zeke and Kai Robertson, the most infamous mafia couples in Colorado. My parents to this day are still happily married and have been for the past 45 years. My older brother, Ashton, is also very happily married to his husband JJ and their four children. Ashlynn went to become one of the most well known doctors in all of America and is now happily married with three crazy and beautiful children.
Zachai is one of the best soccer players in Colorado with ten trophies under his belt with a cool boyfriend named Marcus who works for the nest under Ashton's orders. Kyana is the leading lady in a big shot movie that was coming out soon called 'The Stone of the Dragon' and it sounds pretty good if I do say so myself. Zander went of to become the nest's top shooters along with Adam while Alana went to become the group's tough notch lawyer always getting us out of jail and then there's Milan, who decided to follow in Ashton's footsteps and became a proud owner of his own music company called Blade he worked with the best artists known to man.
And me, well, I became a model/dancer traveling all over the world but I was also part of the Ravance group as their star sniper. Today was no exception, Ashton had us all training at ungodly hours of the morning. I know I shouldn't shower this early since I was bound to sweat but can you blame me? I hated not showering every time I woke up. After my 20 minute shower where I spent jamming to Zayn Malik through my speakers while shaving my legs, I got out and re-entered my room to get dressed.
With towel wrapped around my chest, I rummaged through my closet for my training gear which consisted of a pair of short shorts, a white crop top and converse. Once dressed, I pulled my long blonde hair up in a messy pony tail before grabbing my guns from my dressers and putting them in my purse and in the waistband of my shorts before throwing on an over sized sweatshirt that would hide the gun from view. I exited my room and headed downstairs to the dining room where the family were all eating breakfast
"Good morning beautiful family" I greeted taking my seat across from Kyana who rolled her eyes

"Good morning Zain" they greeted with a smile as the cook began serving us our food. We made small talk before we all headed to our respective vehicles mine being a Porsche 991 Carrera GTS that my Dad got me when I turned 21 last month. I had three others cars but this baby was the only one I used when we had training to do at the training fields that was just half a hour away from the nest.

Once we had reached the training grounds we all parked our cars before getting out and making our way to the different places. Adam, Zach and I went to the shooting range while Lynn, Kyana and Zander went to the target. Milan, Ash and Alana had gone to the ring to do a one on one fight and then there was JJ, Jay and Eliana who had gone to practice their aiming by the pond near by. Papa and Dad were three booths down from us with uncle Cade and Uncle Tony and aunt Caroline and Uncle Ricker were with the girls and Zander while uncle Cryler and Uncle Ryder were at the other ring with their sons practicing their fighting skills. The rest of the family were doing god knows what and for the next 3 hours we trained before we decided to call a day and head home for a late lunch as it was already 3 in the afternoon.
"Any plans for the day?" dad asked as we all entered the house and almost all shook their heads aside from a few who said they were going out for dinner with their husbands and wives or friends. I told them that I was going to town to meet up with a few friends and we were going to the beach for a little bit then go to diner for dinner.
"Alright you all know the drill, anything happens, you call to let us know what's going on" Papa said as we all were ready to head out, we nodded, bid the folks a good night before heading in different directions.
Soon, I pulled up to the small diner in town where I was meeting my friends, Emily and Raven, before took off to the beach since there was a carnival there that we had been waiting for all week for.
"What took you so long, Z?" Raven said as soon as I reached the table they were sitting at and I gave them a sheepish smile
"Sorry, we had training today so I couldn't really ditch, you know how it is" I said and they nodded since their dads were also in the group and they had different training then what my family did.
"Anyway, why don't we head out, we can get something to eat at the carnival" Emily suggested and we agreed. We left the diner and got in my car and headed to the carnival.
"So has Mitch texted you?" I asked Raven who rolled her eyes
"No and I rather not talk about that asshole" she huffed and I raised a brow
"Do we have to sharpen our blades?" Emily asked making Raven sigh
"What happened, Rave?" I asked as I pulled into the parking lot and she sighed again, looking out the window
"He's a scumbag" she replied and got out of the car with the two of us following after her with me locking the door after us.
"What he do? I mean we thought you two were good" I said and paid for the three unlimited pass bracelets and then we entered
"I thought we were good too, but I was just lying to myself because I liked him so much. I mean wouldn't you try to make things work with the guy you liked?" she asked and Em and I looked at each other with frowns as tears began to glisten in Raven's golden eyes
"Of course we would but we're not talking about us, Rave" Em said and Raven chuckled as tears rolled down her honey colored cheeks
"I honestly thought that I had found the one, you know? Like I thought that Mitch was the one for me but he was just playing with me." Rave said with a sniffle and I led her and Em to a secluded table and sat us down
"What are you talking about?" I asked and she went to tell us everything that had happened between her and Mitch, a boy that she's been talking to for the past 10 months and I with every word she said, she broke into sobs that broke my heart. I never wanted to kill anyone so much as I did that very second as I watched my best friend crying her eyes out as she told us everything that had happened.
"And then he had the damn audacity to call me and tell me that he loved me and that he never meant to hurt me" Raven said as she cried in my arms, and all I could do was run my fingers through her hair and murmur that everything was going to be alright and that Mitch was a douche bag for hurting her the way he did and that I was going to rip his balls off and feed them to the sharks which had her laughing.
"I'm never going to find the right guy" She mumbled and I shook my head
"That's not true, Rave. You just need to look for good guys not assholes like Mitch" I declared and she just rolled her eyes
"You're such a weirdo, I swear" she said and I shrugged
"What can I say, I'm awesome" I replied with a grin that had my friends laughing
"Now let's get out there and let's have some fun" I proclaimed and fun we had. Only I couldn't stop thinking that soon my life was going to change but in a good way.
