"It's better to feel pain than nothing at all

the opposite of love's indifference

so pay attention now, i'm standing on your porch screaming out

and i won't leave until you come downstairs"

              ~the lumineers [stubborn love]

Dear Angel,

When I met him it was raining. I had just left your apartment, and I was carrying all of my stuff. You offered me a ride, but I turned you down immediately. So there I was, the rain hiding my tears, evry car that drove by just making me wetter.

It was only when his car slowed down next to me, that I realized exactly hard I'd been crying. He rolled down his window, and his green eyes shone at me.

"Hey, you need some help there?"

"Yeah, I guess so," I responded to him.

Angel, I don't think you realized the amount of pain you put me into. So, I've decided to move on. Once I got into the car, discretly wiping my eyes, he turned to me and smiled. A blinding smile, but it seemed off.

"Hey," he had said to me. "I'm Daniel, who're you."

"Ash," I had murmered quietly.

"Well, Ash, what's a pretty girl like you doing out on the streets in conditions like this?"

"Running away."

"Really?"

And that was the start of a lengthy conversation. But, Angel, why can't I stop thinking about you?

As always,

Ash
