Ok, I'm gonna rant now.
I'm sure most of you know that I read a shit ton of yaoi, I'm not even trying to hide it, but nevertheless as much yaoi wattpad contains, be it good or bad you decide, at certain points wattpad gets annoying.
OK lemme rephrase that:
Wattpads user get annoying.
For one let me show you an example:
Like I mentioned I read loads of yaoi and as wattpad picks up on your reading habit, hashtags like "gay" and "yaoi" do come up in my recommendation feed quite often.
Which is a good thing of course.
What is just beyond my comprehension is when a straight book has a hashtag like #gay etc.
Like don't get me wrong, I don't care if you write hetero stories, do your thing, but don't fucking put #gay in your hashtags if it's not a fucking bxb/ gxg story like wth man?!
When I see #gay in my feed I expect fucking yaoi (or yuri for all I care) but not a frigging hetero story where some gay guy brushes his teeth in the background in that on chapter!
Like come the fuck on!
Here's my feed with #gay.
Do you see the very first story that pops up?
Yes, it's a frikin gxb story!
How do I know that it's gxb and not maybe a guy x crossdressing guy? (those exist shaddap)
Well this should make it fucking obvious shouldn't it?
Then the second recommend story is a bxb that I already read.
Then immediately the third story is a gxb again!
And it just goes on!
Why are you doing this??
Again, I'm not bashing the stories or anything, I haven't read them anyway, so it wouldn't be fair, but dear authors what the actual fuck?
Do you not know what gay means?
Do I have to sex ed you on this topic?
For the love of sardine cans please stop already...
I'm done here, bye.
