Broken (A Demi Lovato Fanfic)

Chapter 3

The car ride was awkward. Demi tried to make conversation and ask me questions but I had no interest in replying. Her house was a good hour away so after a while I plugged my headphones on and drifted off to sleep.

I awoke to Demi tucking loose pieces of hair behind my ear and gently whispering, "Wake up gorgeous, we're here." I got out the car and stared in awe at the massive house that stood before me. It has to be at least four floors and it was bigger than all of the foster houses I've ever been to put together!

She guided me inside and gave me a tour of he mansion. The last room to see was my bedroom which she had clearly spent a lot of time in decorating. There was an ensuite bathroom, a huge bed covered with blankets and pillows and a large S decoration that was covered in lights hanging above the bed. She placed my half full bin bag on the bed and sat down next to me.

"So what do want to do tonight?" she asked. I shrugged in response. "Shall we watch a film?"

"Yeah okay" I replied.

"Ooo we could get in our pyjamas and order pizza like a slumber party!!" she exclaimed. I just nodded my head. Demi placed her hand on my back and said, "You know you can tell me anything baby girl." She began fiddling with one of the bracelets that I used to hide the cuts on my wrist so I quickly pulled it away. A concerned look came onto her face but she brushed it off quickly. "I'll leave you to get settled in whilst I go and order pizza, is pepperoni okay?" I nodded and she wandered away. 

I felt so awful. I'd left Zoe behind and  I felt so alone. I ran into the bathroom slammed the door behind me, tears beginning to roll down my cheeks. I grabbed the blade from my shoe and slashed at my wrists opening up previous wounds. The blood trickled down my arm and all the pain disappeared, I felt powerful and I had to keep going. I made cut after cut going deeper than I ever had before. I felt on top of the world, like I could face anything and then all at once the world went black.
