Tony Stark, the newest leader of the Avengers, sat at the conference table in the back of the main room. He drummed his fingers on the table as he stared at the windows.  He awaited the other members of his team to come in and take their seats. He stared outside the base, and his mind started to wander to Captain America. It had been three months since Cap left him in Russia along with the Winter Soldier. A week after that, he got a letter from him saying that he would always be around when needed, as well as he was going to bust out his team members.

It was classic Steve Rogers, even though he knew it was coming. Tony glanced over at the glass case that showcased Captain America's beaten and scratched shield. He remembered when he brought it in, he let no one touch the sheiks until a case was built for it. He didn't want anyone to fix it, in case Cap did come back to claim it.

Vision came into the room, wearing his usual collared shirt with a starter pulled over it and kakis. He sat down at the table besides Tony, glancing between him and the shield. Vision looked at Tony, and patted his hand. "It's hard without them, I know, but they had a choice. They choose what they wanted, and they knew the consequences, even Scarlet knew."

Tony was surprised to hear Vision mention Scarlet's name. After she ended up in prison, he never spoke a word about her. He wandered between her room and his throughout the first month. Actually no one, who was left of the Avengers, was very social after the others never came back and Steve disappeared. Tony tried to keep things like they were, but he decided halfway through the first month to let them do what they want, unless they were called out on a mission. But no one knew that Steve broke out the Avengers from prison, although Tony knew they would find out it happen sooner or later. Of course, Tony knew where the were, but he didn't go after them.

"I know they did," He said, turning away from the shield, "but Fury called me to schedule a meeting. He said it was important. Let's not look at it too much, you never know what you may find."

At that War Machine hobbled into the room on his crutch, and fell into a chair at the table. He tossed his crutch aside, and let out a impatient sigh. "Damn crutch, I almost tripped up the stairs trying to get here. Why can't my legs work?" He slapped his legs, and growled.

"You've come a long way, War Machine. You can walk by yourself, besides stairs." Vision stated.

"But I can't run, or do what I used to. So I'm broken."

"You're not broken." Vision tried to argue but War Machine wasn't going to agree.

"You didn't get shot out of the sky, and almost die." War Machine growled, "Oh wait, you shot me out of the sky."

Vision looked around the room to avoid his glance. His face showed compassion and sadness. He hadn't smiled since the big fight.

"Alright ladies, calm down." Tony said, annoyed with the argument that happens every time they get called together, "Listen, Fury wanted us together to tell us something, so let's all pull up our big boy pants and settle down."

Vision and War Machine glared at each other then settled down. Tony sighed in relief, and looked at the time. Where on earth was that man? He said ten, and it's 10:30. The door slide open, and what was left of the Avengers stood up, except War Machine, but Nick Fury didn't walk into the room.

Natasha Romanova, aka The Black Widow, stepped into the room with a determined but slightly annoyed expression. "Three months, it's been three months, and they won't even let me through the doors."

"Natasha? What the hell are you doing here?" War Machine asked as he leaned forward.

"I called you, remember?" She said, like it was obvious as she sat down besides Vision. "We've got to talk."

"Well Fury also called us in, so when did you?" Tony asked staring at the clock. Fury will be here any moment!

"That's what I want to talk to you about. I know what he's called you in for and it's a mission, but you have to listen to what I have to say before he comes in." Natasha growled, slamming documents on the table.

Tony stared her in her eyes, and she held his gaze with a glare. When she didn't look away, he knew that she wasn't leaving until she got what she wanted. "Alright Natasha, you win."

"I always win." She smirked then clicked the remote and the tv popped on, "S.H.E.I.L.D has information that Hydra is planning an attack on a important meeting for the leaders of the world. If the succeed then they win. But we also have information that someone will be there, someone we thought was gone. Steve already knows this."

Tony shot out of his seat, "You told Steve?!"

"No. Steve told me about this mission. The only reason he is mildly worried about this is because of him. He would have gone to stop him sooner, but Steve isn't a idiot. He knows he can't do this by himself." Natasha growled, and shot the documents over to him, "Tony, Steve needs you, and if you want to win, you need Steve, along with the other Avengers, as well. We all feel bad about what happened at the Air Strip, but we can make it up to the others. We can find them, and get them to fight. Tony, you can't do this with three-actually two-Avengers. You need all of us. We're a family."

An intercom came on in the room, and a robotic voice with an English accent spoke, "Director Fury is in Hall 23 coming your way, Mr. Stark. Oh hello Natasha, how are you doing?"

"Hello Jarvis." Natasha smiled then turned to Tony, "You have to think quickly about it, and if your agree to the mission, you have to say you won't do this without the others."

"Why didn't you bring this to Fury?" War Machine asked, or rated about her comment with two Avengers."

"Because, I knew he wouldn't agree to the idea, even if he know that it's the only way. He takes orders from the world leaders now. He doesn't get very much of say." Natasha said as a pair of feet clicked towards the door. "You'll do the right thing Tony, and if you need me, I'll be on the roof, waiting." She strutted to the emergency door, and jumped through, climbing the wall to the top of the building.

Tony looked at Vision and War Machine then at the documents. He glanced over the documents, which where each Avengers information and pictures. Tony stopped at Steve's documents. He had mixed emotions about how he felt about Steve. He was furious but at the same time he understood. He could make his friendship with Steve, but Bucky Barnes was a whole different route he didn't feel like walking down. How could he forgive the man, who murdered his parents over their jobs? He could never forgive him, no matter how much Steve pleaded and begged that he tried to forgive Bucky: he will never surrender to that.

Nick Fury stepped into the room, and immediately started into conference mode. He stared at his remaining Avengers, and sighed. "We got an assignment. Hydra is planning to attack the World Conference in exactly ten hours. Your mission is to stop that from happening."

"Isn't that always the mission." War Machine asked.

Nick glared at him and snapped, "Just get on it. You move out in an hour." He went to leave.

"On one condition: I get to call the Avengers. All of them."

"They're in prison, Stark. You know that." Fury turned around to face them.

"Are they though?" Tony questioned then stood up, and paced the floor, "If Hydra is planning an attack, it won't be small. It'll be extravagant like a Stark Party, but I'm not bragging." He shrugged and handed the documents to the Director, "We can't win without them Fury, no matter how much the government says no."

Director Fury glared at Tony and started to object, and Tony got down on his knees and laced his fingers together and placed his hands on his chest. He tried his cutest pleading face, that looked like a new born puppy-dog face that melted even Nick Fury's cold heart.

"Alright Stark get on your feet. Damn you and your face. If you can find them, they can join the Avengers again, but one step out of line with any of you, I will reprogram Dummie on you."

"Why Dummie, do you want to see me in pain?" Stark pouted.

"You the hell is Dummie?" Vision asked.

Nick Fury left the room, and Tony picked up his phone and called Natasha, "Alright Natasha, help me find them. Let's get the Avengers back together."
