Night

The ground beneath me was warm but it seemed to move. I sat up, and felt my fingers brush against my leg. So I did managed to change back to normal
while unconscious. That was a first for me. My body was stiff and it was pitch black. I could smell gasoline pumping in the air. I sat up farther than hit my head on something hard. "Mother-ducker! What the hell was that?"

Someone moved in front of the wall, and slid across a door. Light shone through it, blinding me and startling me. I adjusted my eyes sat then scooted forward until I could stand up. The Avengers sat in their seats as the engines roared besides me. We were on a jet- the Avengers's jet.

"Well lookie lookie, someone's awakie." A man with a childish grin said through the bars.

I looked up at him then said, "Hey you can you inspect my head. I think I have a gash on my head."

He started to peer in closer, but Captain America grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back before I got the chance to move. "I would be careful, Clint. We don't know what she's capable of. Why do you think she has those cuffs on?"

"Well isn't it Captain Colorful Tights. Thanks for the bullet hole. Who else is here?" I heard Captain America growl then shift in his seat, "Wait, don't tell me. Ironman right, and let me guess, he's in the cockpit of the jet, isn't he?" I looked around the jet, "Vision, Black Widow, Mind-girl, those other ones that I have no idea who they are, and Goofy."

"Well lookie who knows our names already. I feel especially honored that you know my my favorite Disney character. How did you know?" Clint asked in a sarcastic voice and paired it with a smile.

"Just a guess."

"Well aren't you a smartie-wartie?"

"Talk like that anymore, and I'm gonna punchie-punchie you in throat." I snarled forming my hand into a fist.

"You haven't changed a bit, Night."

I turned my head to the far corner where Wint leaned against the side of the jet. He was inspecting his sidearm. He had a new outfit, all in black, but no sleeves on his mechanical arm. It was brand new by the way it shined in the light, and there was no communist star on it. Jeez how long has it been since I last saw him? He was nothing like a remembered, but at least his eyes never changed.

"So you are alive, Wint."

Captain America stepped up to the bars with a hateful growl, "His name is Bucky, so stop calling him Wint."

"Bucky? Who the hell is Bucky?"" I looked at Wint then it came to me. "I see. You got your memory back."

Bucky came up to the bars, "Yes I did. Rogers helped me out with it."

"You're welcome." Captain America growled.

"So if you got your memory back, answer me this." I leaned forward, so that our noses almost touched. My hand crept up to his collar, and I wrapped my fingers around it then yanked his face into the bars, "Why the hell did you not come back! Do you have any idea what the bloody hell was going through my head! Red Skull told me that you had been killed, and you want to know what happened when I heard that? I rampaged and killed half of Hydra's recruits because I thought you had been killed by them!"

"They did kill someone. They killed the Winter Soldier, but Bucky still-." Captain America started then I flung a knife at his head but he deflected it.

"Stay the hell out of this! I've never known Bucky! I've only known Wint!" I turned back to Bucky, "After that Hydra got rid of the other soldiers and experiments but not me. No, they kept me, even if I murdered a hundred a people a year. And you know why? It was because that's how they wanted me. They wanted me to be murderous. I did exactly what they wanted. I played into their hands." I growled then eased up on my grip, and leaned my head on the bars, "I became what I was created to be without them turning me into it."

"Don't say that, Night. Maybe we only spoke once, but I needed that smirk of pride on your face to fight. Do you remember what you said to me- the first time we ever spoke to each other-before I left?" He asked.

"Yes. I want to do that to you right now!"

"We're coming in to land. We'll touch New York in about two minutes, so you should buckle up." a voice said over the intercom as everyone sat down and buckled themselves in.

I kept standing, glaring at Bucky. Hawkeye eyes me then said, "You should sit down, so you don't die."

"Why do you think I'm standing?"

The Avenger's jet touched down in New York on a runway in front of the Avengers headquarters. It skidded to a stop as the pilot brought it into the bunker. The cargo hold door opened, and the Avengers piled out as quickly as they could. Bucky stayed behind along with Captain America to guide me out. They held me by my biceps as they dragged me out after Captain America slapped cuffs on me. The others lined up in the bunker as someone's heavy boots stormed up to us along with multiple feet running towards us in multiple directions.

S.H.E.I.L.D agents circled the jet with their guns aimed at Bucky. Captain America let go of me and held his hands out as a man dressed in all black along with an eyepatch over one eye stood with his arms behind his back and a serious scowl on his face. "What the hell, Rogers! I said to get Red Skull not this thing!" His eyes wander to me and then to Bucky, "And you brought him along too? Did you plan to-."

"No, Nick. I did not plan to turn Bucky in. Listen to me, Bucky is the only one who can handle her." Captain America said, "If you arrest Bucky then we will all die by her." He pointed to me.

I was paying no attention them, my mind was better spent trying to break the cuffs. I felt eyes on me, and I looked up from my task and smiled. "I hear a compliment in there somewhere."

Captain America ignored me as he waited for the director's response. The man in black mumbled to himself then turned away and stormed off, calling off the men. "I get to integrate her." The man shouted as his disappeared into the building. Captain America sighed then took my arm and lead me into the building.

I smirked, "I heard that compliment."

"Don't get used to it."

The Avengers lead me through their hideout to the lower level, where they kept the criminals. Although there were no major criminals in the cells, they were still known enough for the Avengers. Bucky was nervous when Captain America opened the cell at the very end for me, and pushed me in. Cap walked off but Bucky stayed with me. I sat down on the steel platform for a bed, And glared at him.

"Maybe I should get Steve to live you somewhere else."

"I don't need a babysitter, Wint."

"Oh I'm not worried about you, Night. I'm worried about the others." He winked at me then ran after Captain America.

As I waited for something to happen, the other prisoners were spending all their time whispering to each other and trying to get me to talk. I had never heard of any of their names before, but they still kept trying to get me to be impressed with them. I leaned my head against the wall, and started banging it against it. It had been an hour, and no one had come back for me. I could have easily escaped, if I could find a vent or a code to unlock the door to my cell, but a strange part of me wanted to stay. The inmate across from me made a disgusting noise with his tongue, and I slowly turned my head to him. He gave me a smirk and whistled. I smiled and stomped my foot on the ground, making the inmate shut up.

Half an hour later, a S.H.E.I.L.D agent came to get me. He unlocked the door then as we were heading out, gasped at the sight of the inmate across from me. The inmate was dangling from the roof where a pointed boulder held him in place. The agent looked at me, and I pretended not to notice. The agent pressed the hearing piece in his ear, "Yes, can you get the Avengers down to the interrogation room? I don't want to be left alone with her for more then 5 minutes. Also, can someone help the inmate in cell-8, he seems to be dangling from the ceiling."

The agent let me walked in front of him as he kept a beady eye on me. My fingers cramped from lifting up to the cuffs, but I almost got it. The agent opened the vaulted door to the interrogation room then quickly shut it behind me as I stepped into the room. I sat down in the chair, and tried to focus on the double-sided mirror in front of me. After a while, I felt a click, and a pressure release around my wrists as the blood flowed back to my fingers.
