A/N: Well this is my first story. I don't even have a plot and I apologize for any typos. I was just kind of bored. I was on my Wattpad and was like why not. Any way hope you enjoy this chapter I don't really know if this would be considered that short or long though so anyway on with it.

Tony's POV

"You have everything for the trip, double check just in case," Mom said. "Okay mom," I answered back. I had all my stuff ready, scattered across my queen sized bed. Tooth brush/toothpaste check, extra clothes check, sunscreen check, safety and emergency kit, check, sunglasses check, sleeping bag and pillow check. I had a few weapons just in case, my mom said it wouldn't be smart. If I got caught I would be screwed. I took one long last look in my room. The bed unmade, clothes everywhere, dishes I forgot to take downstairs on the night stand and my old cap hanging on my airplane model. For some reason I had a strange feeling I wasn't going to see this room again for a very, very, very long time. As I was making my way downstairs to go out the door my mom called my name. "You have everything for the trip?" She asked again, "Yes mom," I replied in lazy tone. she gave me peck on the cheek, a quick hug and I was out the door.

I texted my friends telling them I was out the door and I was going to be arriving at school in about 10 minutes. When I got on the 108 it was about 8:40 so I had 20 minutes to make it which was a lot of time. I transferred to the 36 and was on my way to CW Jeffery's. When I got there everyone was waiting with their canoe packs and bags loading them onto the big yellow bus. Our little group was in the very back of the bus. I sat with Brett, Jess sat with Sarah, she was so tiny that I swear there was room for a third person, Jhakobe with Cody, and finally Carlton with Vanessa. Me and Brett decided to listen to HU for the 2 and half hour or so drive. Soon I closed my eyes and fell asleep to the sound of DeadBite.

I woke up to Brett poking me. "Yo G, wake up," "We're here already?" I asked, "Nope, food," that got me up. I stretched and waited for everybody else. Me, Brett and Jhakobe were last to get off. After we had lunch and all the bathroom breaks were done we hit the road again. Once we got off the school bus and put all our bags on the canoe we headed off to the first campsite. The cabins were pretty decent. Once we were all situated in our cabins we were called out for activities. We were lucky because we all got to choose which cabin we were in except the girls. Who didn't even need a second cabin since there were so few of them. The cabins were pretty big. About twelve beds in all and a change curtain.

We were all exhausted when we came back and all that canoeing killed my arms. With that I changed and got ready for bed. It was like 11:00 or 11:30 in the night when I woke up. Not to my surprise everybody was still up despite looking so tired when they first came in. Brett announced he was gonna have a smoke and left, I wen't back to bed, not really sleeping though. At one or two O'clock in the morning somebody turned the lights on in the cabin. "Ah I'm blinded what gives?" I said covering my eyes. "I think Brett's gone missing."

Brett was the center of attention as usual. He left saying he was going out for a smoke and has been missing in action for like about 3 hours now. "Where could he have wandered off to?" Jessica asked, "I don't know but I think we should start looking for him now," I said. Carlton spoke up, "So what are we doing here because I'm pretty confused. Are we looking for him or should we stay here and hope that he turns up?" "That's what we're discussing right now Carlton," Jhakobe said.

We hadn't noticed he'd been silent the whole time during are group discussion. I guess you could say he's kind of like the leader of the group. Then came Cody, Brett then me. "What do you guys think, Jhakobe, Cody, we need your opinion on this," I said, "Screw it lets go then. It's settled were starting our own little search party." That's all that needed to be said. With that everybody started to pack their bags. I was the last one to leave.

As I closed the door I took one long last look at the cabin. It's musty air, the graffiti that plagued the walls of the cabin, the creaking of the floor boards. For the second time I had a strange feeling that I wouldn't be seeing the inside of the cabin for a very, very, long time.

We went to the girls cabin and knocked on the door. I stood at the door everybody was still up as well. "We think Brett's g-," "Gone missing?" She interjected before I could finish my sentence. "We know, we heard the whole conversation. You guys are quite loud when you talk. Just let us get dressed we'll be out shortly.

I never really noticed how cold it actually was outside until I had tripped over my own two feet and face planted in the snow, and to top it all off it was really windy. The cool wind stung my face as it brushed past me at 100 miles an hour (at least that's what it felt like). We had been searching for about a good 2 or 3 hours now at least and my hands were frozen as well as my feet. They said these gloves were insulated. They lied. It was around 4 O'clock now, it was getting dark fast and the weather wasn't letting up. "Guys wait up, I just need a minute," Jessica said panting leaning against a tree. "Brett!" I cried out releasing all that frustration that had built up in the last three or so hours. The pitch black sky was lighting up. I just prayed that he was okay wherever he was. The searing pain in my fingers broke my train of thought. They told me these gloves were properly insulated. They lied.
