Jhakobe's POV

The first thing that hit me was the light. I was temporarily blinded by the sun, being in the cave it wasn't exactly dark but your eyes adapt right. There was a cool wind I never noticed before. The others seemed confused as well. "This doesn't make any sense, it's like that force field or boundary blocks anything from coming in," Brett said, "It's like the cave has it's very own climate or something."

"Then explain how we were able to just waltz into the cave?" Tony asked, "That's a good question Tony, sucks for you cuz I don't have a clue." I don't know why I just decided to make that rhyme.

We got used to walking in this armor. The armor seemed somewhat lighter than when I had first put it on. I was able to move around easier as well. I still didn't know what kind of sword this was, It seemed like a mix of different metals like Titanium, Bronze, Copper, Gold, and Silver. It was wicked sharp.

We've been walking for about half an hour now. We lost sight of the cave but we shouldn't get lost. We just headed straight. To tell you the truth it felt kind of good to be out and about again. I started to think about the cabin. We tried to retrace our steps but then that fucking blizzard covered all the damn tracks.

I told the guys to slow down and we decided to take a short break. Brett was sitting on a rock ready to light one. Tony spoke up,

"I don't think this is the time to be smoking Brett,"

"Yo pass that, share,"

"Fuck off Cody I'm not sharing for shit, roll your own,"

"Are you kidding me? Now isn't the most ideal time or place for that matter, to be rolling up," Tony said scolding us again.

I just sat there and listened to them argue. I pulled out my canteen of water. I never really thought about it until now but where would we find water? Well it's not like they wouldn't find us. They'd send a search party or something otherwise we'd be screwed. It would basically be like The Walking Dead, only with monsters instead of zombies and instead of having to look for a new place every ten seconds we had a cave. Hopefully that wouldn't burn down or be overrun. That would be a real fucking shame.

" We should get going guys," I said. I wanted to be back as soon as possible. Even though I was enjoying the fresh air and having fun just walking around thinking about life I didn't want to stay out here knowing it could be lurking anywhere. That's what kept me on edge the whole time I was here. Something was wrong.

Something just didn't feel right. I had a feeling something was off. I had the feel someone was watching us. I was already nervous. What if it came at me I don't even know how to use this sword, I'd be screwed.

Cody's POV

This armor is killing me. I'm bad at running but this just makes it worse I can barely move in it. Protection at the cost of mobility. It felt like 1000 pounds of lead was on my chest. When we get to the cave I'm going to have to try another set or switch with someone or something. The only reason I even agreed to go outside was because Jhakobe was going. Otherwise I would of gone back to bed to catch up on some well deserved sleep. I was fucking tired man and these waste yutes woke me up with the up with their trash singing.

I don't know how long we'd been walking but I didn't really care. I just wanted to get back to that weird yet cozy cave. I actually missed my PlayStation. If it wasn't for this stupid trip I'd be sitting on my black sofa in my apartment playing some WWE 2K16 with my boy Michael and Jhakobe.

Jhakobe, Brett, Tony and I had been walking for a while now when Jhakobe started to take a seat. "Lets just chill here for a minute." I had been waiting for those words. I cleared a spot on the ground near a tree and made myself at home for the few seconds we'd be stopping here. I took off my helmet. It was so stuffy in that thing I swear man I was sweating buckets...in the winter. Brett and I were just chilling. Jhakobe and Tony were tense though. Jhakobe was making this weird face. Tony was so tense. Both of them seemed to be comfortable with there weapons and moving around just fine in their armor.

Tony looked really nervous now. He was standing up on his tippy toes, like he was ready to dart at a moments notice and was extremely alert. Same with Jhakobe but to a lesser extent. I wasn't used to seeing Tony so serious. He was always following us around at school being all immature and shit.

Brett started to light one up. I asked if I could have one and as usual he was a dick and hogged it all. I don't even smoke, I just do that to piss him off. He doesn't like to share. "Are you kidding me? Now isn't the most ideal time or place for that matter to be rolling up," Tony reprimanded.

I was daydreaming when Jhakobe's voice brought me back to reality. "We should get going guys," Jhakobe said breaking the silence. Suddenly I felt the hair on my arms and the back of my neck stand up. I had a feeling something was about to go down. I didn't know exactly.

Tony's POV

I was on edge to say the very least. Cody and Brett being the fucking idiots they were decided to start ballin' up right here in the middle of the woods. I was a nervous wreck. Something just felt terribly off. I just couldn't put my finger on it. There was an ominous presence that made me wary of the trees. Something was following us. It felt like I was Hypersensitive, like my sense were all heightened. Whatever it was I knew I wasn't the only one feeling this way. I could tell just by looking at Jhakobe he felt somewhat the same way as I was feeling right now. I don't know what it was, it was one of those feelings you just couldn't shake off.

I was starting to feel restless. something wasn't right. All of a sudden I heard a loud but low frequency rumbling sound that shook the ground underneath my feet. I readied my sword, did I even know how to use a sword? We were about to find out. Jhakobe unsheathed his sword gleaming wickedly. Cody bolted up right and readied his spear. We were all ready, well as ready as you can be to fight an unknown 15 foot tall giant monster creature thing. Brett however didn't even move a muscle. It was like he couldn't feel the vibrations coming from the monster or anything. "BRETT!," I screamed, he looked at me with his deep brown eyes and responded with... "What G? Let a man finish." Un...fucking...believable. We're all gonna die. He was completely oblivious to the fact that the monster that had chased him down and nearly killed him was lumbering towards us. He was slow but I had the feeling he could pick up the pace if he felt like it.

So far it was going pretty good Me and Jhakobe were looking for an opening to attack. I wasn't paying attention. The monsters heavy hand was about to come down and crush me, it would have succeeded had Cody not been the brave young lad he is and jabbed it from behind with his spear. It penetrated his thigh and made him stumble back a bit making him miss me by an inch. The creature turned around and smacked Cody aside causing him to smash into a tree.

Me and Jhakobe were fighting like demons stabbing, sidestepping and slashing not necessarily in that order. I tried to take advantage of the opening Jhakobe made for me but the same thing happened to me. Seconds later before I could even comprehend what was happening I was tossed against a tree. Jhakobe was fighting like a demon but it wasn't enough. With us out of commission and Brett sitting around dazed still looking dazed it was only a matter of time before he was out too. He made good use of his shield and raised it up to block a hit just time that would have ripped him to shreds. It sent the skidding across the snow steaming for some reason.

Just when it seemed like all hope was lost and there was no way out of this shitty situation, the monster wailed in pain. Three silver arrows sprout from its chest. The monster started to cough up a black liquid. It let out one last roar and with that it fell backwards causing a mini earthquake.

Cody, Jhakobe and I were all in shock. We were still trying to find out where the arrows had come from and standing there was a figure, bow in one hand and a quiver full of sharp arrows slung over her shoulder. She was wearing a blood red cloak with the hood that cast a shadow upon her face leaving only her nose and a mischievous smirk tugging the right corner of her lips. She then walked over to us. Every stride she took towards us was filled with confidence, the way she carried herself, she seemed like a natural born leader.

She came to a stop standing over us. My vision was blurry so I couldn't really get quite a good look at her face. Then the mysterious girl that had literally materialized in front of us and saved our lives was standing over us spoke. "You guys are hurt pretty bad. That's some nasty wounds you guys are sporting there, I don't think we've met before, the names Ivy.
