JahkobeBITW

Vanessa's POV

Jahkobe, Cody, Tony and Brett accompanied by a stranger all came in looking like they fought in World War 2. They looked like they jumped in mud and rolled around on the ground. There was twigs and sticks in their hair and they all looked exhausted.
Jessica was the first one to speak.
"So did anyone find food because I'm hungry and none of these arseholes are willing to share."
Unbelievable. She was thinking about food. That's Jessica for you. Out of all the questions she could have asked she decided to ask about food. That was the only thing on her mind, nope she wasn't wondering why the guys came in all beaten up and bruised or about why there was a mysterious hooded figure with them, she was thinking about food.
"Don't shoot," Tony said raising his hand up as if to surrender.
"I have two questions," Carlton spoke up, "One, why do you guys look like you just took a casual stroll through hell and two, who is that?" He asked pointing to the hooded figure standing by Brett.
"Allow me to introduce myself I'm Ivy."

Jessica's POV
It was the evening now. The stranger left to get some food a few minutes after introducing herself. I tried to tell her that there wasn't a McDonald's or Burger King around here but she wouldn't listen. The sun had already set and we were sitting in a circle around the mini campfire we made in the cave waiting for the mysterious stranger to come back with food. A comfortable silence had settled over the group.

I was moving my phone around trying to get a signal maybe just maybe there was WiFi this cave came with free WiFi.

"Are you okay Jess? Are you going to start searching for power outlets too? Oh and while your at it could you google how to kill yourself in the fastest, most painless way possible?" Tony said sarcastically breaking the silence.

Jeez what was his problem. He's just mad because his beautiful armor got scratched up and he lost his phone. He'll get over it. We saw a figure step forth from the shadows.

"I'm back and I even brought dessert."
None of us around the circle spoke. Here we were, sitting around a fire staring in awe at the figure before us holding three brown paper bags with the McDonald logo on it. I couldn't even say anything I was just wondering how she got that I mean as far as I knew we were in the middle of fucking nowhere so how she got freaking happy meal I don't know and I think everyone else was thinking the exact same thing.
Once we got over the initial shock we began to take are Happy Meals out of the bag. There was one for each of us.
The fire dimly lit the mysterious stranger's face making her look menacing. She grinned revealing a creepy smile, definitely not one that screamed of innocent.

I tuned everything out and focused on my food, no pickles or onions, I had to admit she was good.

Tony's POV

Everything hurt. My back, my shoulders, my legs, everything was sore. The other guys didn't look like they were doing much better, the good thing was that Brett was sober, pissed but sober. Lets just say he didn't take kindly to all of his drugs and weed being confiscated but we didn't have a choice. He almost got all of us killed trying to protect him because he wasn't even in this freaking world, I don't even want to know where his mind wandered off to.

I'm just glad that mystery girl that popped out of literally nowhere decided to show up when she did. I don't trust her but at this point I don't even think we really have a choice on whether we can trust her or not. I still don't have a single clue on how she managed to retrieve the happy meals. She must of made it out of thin air. Jess's reaction was priceless though, her mouth was agape, she probably thought Ivy was God or something close.

Everything was going smoothly so far. Carlton, Vanessa, Jessica, Sarah and Brett were all sitting around the fire laughing and having fun with Ivy while me and the rest of the guys sat in the corner of the cave discussing on whether we should trust this mystery girl.

"So should we trust her?" Jahkobe asked.

"I don't really know. I mean she could just stick an arrow in our heads on a whim. She's pretty handy with that silver bow of hers. We could use that, how about when she's sleeping we can amb-."

"No." I said interrupting Cody mid-sentence, "We're not savages nor are we thieves. It would be completely immoral for us to do that to this stranger who could of left us for dead but chose to save us." I added, "And besides, even if we wanted to, you saw how she dealt with that thing back there. I have a feeling she's much more dangerous than she's leading us to believe. Face it. She could of killed all of us if she wanted to. I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of those arrows."

We were silently sitting in the back watching everyone else have fun around the fire. After what was seemed to be a few minutes Jahkobe finally decided to say something.

"I think Tony's right still. She could probably waste us all without even blinking. There's only two people here that can actually even fight and that's me and Cody."

I wasn't going to lie I was garbage when it came to hand-to-hand combat. If I recall correctly I was the first one to get my ass handed to me by that ugly piece of shiit.

Later in the evening everybody started going to their sleeping bags. Ivy volunteered to take duty.

Cody's POV
"Welcome to the land of the living Cody, come on Ivy says she knows a route to the city."
Ivy knows a route to the city finally we're almost out of snacks. Once we reached we could probably call our parents and tell them what happened. All I want to do now is go home although it was kind of cool wearing Greek armor it just made me feel like a badass.

The journey into the city was quite uneventful to say least. Silence settled over the group as we got closer and closer to the city. Carlton and Vanessa as usual were in the background having their own little conversation, Brett was walking beside Ivy and Jessica was talking with Sarah. Me, Cody and Jahkobe hung around in the back.
"Are we even close? I've been walking for about an hour and my feet are killing me," Jessica whined.
Ivy chose not to respond. Instead she just turned to Brett and they continued where had they had left off in their conversation.

Another 5 minutes or so into walking we hit our first road sign which meant we were getting closer. We came out of the woods and onto an empty road. We followed the road for a little while and then we saw it in the distance.
A city, I would have been more excited had I not noticed the strangeness of the situation. There was something off. The city was dark, there wasn't any car honking no noise nothing.
It was a ghost town.
