We Play Dress Up

A/N If you guys haven't noticed or the three people that even read this crappy story, it kind of has this Percy Jackson vibe doesn't it...or is it just me?

Jahkobe's POV

I woke up to Jessica, Vanessa and Sarah singing Pillow Talk (or at least trying to).

"Shut the fuck up man," Cody and I said in unison. They honestly were the worst at singing I swear to god. Vanessa and Sarah maybe. Not Jessica, she sounded like Mariah Carey in the winter time, no she sounded like IceJJFish. She actually made my head hurt.

"Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Jessica replied.

"And who's fault do you think that is. It definitely can't be your terrible singing," Cody said, his statement dripping with sarcasm.

"YO say honest Cody's up now," "Yeah fham,"

Carlton and Tony were still sleeping. I found that weird because Tony was always up before anyone. He never slept in. I took a second look at my surroundings. The cave itself was pretty spacious. What I found kind of weird though was the fact that it seemed too perfect. The caves floor and roof were completely flat, which in of itself was kind of weird. What I found even weirder were the ancient symbols and words that covered the walls of the cave. It was all scrambled up jumbling around. This cave was messing with my mind. It got weirder, There was a pile of ancient armor and weapons, I'm talking metal chest plates and helmets along with the shin guards. I noticed there were around 8 swords, 8 bows with at dozen quivers full of arrows that looked sharp and ready to use, there were at least a dozen knives as well. The weapons and armor were all made of some shiny smooth but hard material. Almost like bronze with copper and titanium mixed together to make a hard and durable alloy.

I was still pretty pissed off at Jessica from this morning though. Like she made me wish Tony would of just dropped her flat ass and left her back there.

Jessica, Vanessa and Sarah were in a corner of the cave chatting among themselves, Cody and Carlton were arguing about wrestling. And Tony was...still asleep? Something was off. I guess he was just a bit tired from carrying Jess all that way to the cave.

I had to get everyone's attention, "Everyone. Guy shut up for just a second," I yelled, everybody stopped and listened. I guess that was enough to get Tony's fat self up.

"Yo what's happening, good morning guys. Do we have any snacks left over cuz I'm freaking starving," 

"Yes we have snacks just hold on a sec, you can get something after I'm done talking okay." We needed to do something. We couldn't just stay held up in this cave. I mean it was safe because that ugly creature couldn't get us but I wasn't planning on dying of old age in this stupid cave anytime soon.

"Guys we need to discuss what we're going to do, we need a plan," Jahkobe said.

   "What do you suggest G?" Brett asked. I looked over at the random stock of weapons and armor neatly up against the wall, 

 Jahkobe continued, "Well guys I was going to ask... Anybody wanna play dress up?"

We all had pop tarts and granola bars for breakfast and went towards the stockpile of armor and weapons. Let me tell you something. All that equipment was not as like as it looked. It was kind of uncomfortable but I could tell you I would of been a lot safer had I been wearing this when we were getting chased. Now here we are hiding in a cave with a very convenient pile of assorted armor and weapons, which I still find weird. Something about this whole situation was just odd. It all seemed so surreal.

Cody's POV

I think Tony's still pissed at me for stepping on that branch back there when we were still getting chased by that thing. I'm pretty sure he was mad at Jessica too. She literally ran for like 2 minutes before she started panting and stopped running. Than he was forced to carry her because she had a cramp. The worst time for a cramp if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, Jessica's as light as a feather, but I think he still had difficulty carrying her and running for his life at the same time.

Kobe started talking but to be honest I was too distracted to even pay attention to what he was saying. All I gathered was that he wanted to use the pile of armor and stuff. I guess he wanted us to try it on? I don't know I didn't even really care, I just wanted to go back to sleep. I was having this nice dream to until the girls decided to sing. They were terrible man. I mean they were pretty bad.

I was thinking about our whole situation. This was so weird. At the same time though I found it kind of exciting, running to a cave getting chased by a monster. That's definitely something that doesn't happen everyday now does it? At least I hope so. I wonder if the camp noticed we were gone yet. It was still kind of dark, I'd give it another hour or so. Since it was the winter it could be like 7 or 8 O'clock and the sun could just be rising. That adds to my list of weird things going on. The cave was warm. We didn't even need our coats or anything. It didn't make any sense to me whatsoever, there was snow everywhere except for the cave. It was about a foot of snow that surrounded the entrance of the cave, the strange thing about it was the fact that it was a perfect line of snow. Like there was an invisible wall blocking the snow from falling into the cave.

"Sounds like a plan. But one thing. None of us know how to use a bow and arrow properly. I think we should stay away from the bows. We can't afford some moron thinking he's fucking Robin Hood trying to shoot arrows all over the place and end up killing or injuring someone. We don't need that shit." Jhakobe said. We all looked over at Tony and Brett. "What, if you found a bow with some arrows lying around you would want to shoot it too." Tony said defensively. "Can't promise you that G," Brett said lighting up a cigarette using a match.

"How much of those do you have?" Carlton asked. "I have like 5 packs or something in my backpack. Don't worry fham I have extra lighters too." Brett said.

"Of course you do," Vanessa and Sarah said in unison.

We tried on the armor and held some of the weapons. I have to admit, even though the armor was a little heavy, especially the fucking chest plate oh my god it weighed like 80 fucking pounds. But I'm sure this would stop a sword or something though. No way shits getting through this. The sword felt surprisingly balanced. Not to heavy, not to light.

"Stop waving it around like it's a fucking wand, Cody your going chop off someone's head."

"Your going to chop off someone's head, Shut the fuck up," I said mocking Carlton.

This was so fucking cool I've never actually seen a sword up close or held one before. I felt freaking invincible right now with this armor, I felt pretty fucking bad ass.

"So," Tony said dragging out the o, "What are we gonna do? What time is it Jhakobe?"

"It's about 10:30," "Already? Shit man time flies by when your screwing around in a cave swinging, your sword around like an idiot and walking around in full battle armor."

"Yeah it really does." Jessica said. She was trying to stand up straight but it looked like she was struggling a lot. I can't even count on my fingers how many times she's almost fallen over since putting on the armor. I have to admit it was a little to big for her but I was sure she would get used to it.

"Yo, I'm gonna see if that thing is still out there," Jhakobe said, 

   "We're coming with you too then," Brett and Tony said in unison as they both packed up their stuff. The only thing they left behind were their sleeping bags. 

"Cody, you coming too?" Jhakobe asked. 

"Of course fham. There's nothing better to do in here anyways." I said looking around the cave. I followed suit, packing all my stuff up and getting dressed to go outside. We still had all our armor on. 

"If you guys run into trouble yell for us okay," Vanessa said. "We will guys, alright lets get going,"

"Yo fham I'm coming too," Carlton said. We hadn't really noticed before but he must have been clued in because he was already to go. "No," Jhakobe continued, "Stay here in case they need help or something happens. Having all the guys out at once probably isn't the smartest thing to do."

"Fine," Carlton said in defeat, "Just be quick about it, and don't go to far away from the cave or else calling will be pointless or you won't be able to get to safety in time in case that thing comes around again,"

"We'll be fast, don't worry, come on man lets go I wanna get outside," Tony said impatiently. I was getting pretty excited to go out. I just wanted to get out of this cave. And with that we left the safety of the cave.
