29|| Heartbreak

I hear footprints behind me.

"BLAKE WAIT!" my love says to me, but it's too late. I've made up my mind.

Just jump, idiot. You're the one that screwed everything up, after all.

I look back at her and faintly smile, she's so beautiful.

"Goodbye," I say while walking backwards.

"BLAKE NO STOP PLEASE," Y/N says while crying and running in my direction.

So, this is how you're gonna leave this earth. Jumping off of the city bridge. Without getting one last kiss? Nope, not today, Blake. You know that you love her, and she loves you. I'm not gonna let you do this.

Suddenly, I feel something inside me that doesn't want to die just yet. I need to tell Y/N how I feel before I do this. She deserves to know the truth.

I stop walking backwards, right at the edge at my death, and bolt towards my only love, Y/N.

I crash into her and start crying.

"I'm never letting go of you, never," she said.

"Why? What made you want this?" she says in her angelic voice. How, even when she's crying, does she sound so beautiful?

"I'm sorry," is all I can say.

"So am I."

"I'll always love you, Y/N, I'm so sorry, but this is what I want," I say before pushing away.

"What do you mean?" she says confused.

"This is goodbye, Y/N, I can't live with what I've done. I'm sorry," I say sadly smiling and shaking my head.

Before she can say anything I sprint to the edge of the bridge.
