Madeline's p.o.v

"can we go somewhere else where i can shift back into my human form and get dressed i'm starting to get uncomfortable." i asked Cody  

"sure uhm there's a barn out back of the clan house where they won't see you but you'll have to be really cautious" he said in a whisper.

"looks like someones hiding something from their clan too" i said in a sing song voice.

"shut it mutt or i'll take you to them and have them kill you'' he said glaring at me i guess i hit a weak spot. i'll keep that in mind for later on.

"alirghtie then lead the way count drac" i smirked knowing it'll annoy him.

"ha ha ha very original pup" he said as he started to walk through the forest.

I trailed behind him not really paying attention to anything...okay that's a lie, i may or may not have been staring at Cody's back and a little lower than that i mean you cant blame me he's pretty fit if i say so myself.

i was pulled out of my thoughts as i almost fell on Cody since he had stopped walking.

"can you pay attention next time i don't need you getting fur on me." he scuffed and faced forward sniffing in the air.

"what is it? is it another vamp? am i going to die? oh my god i'm not ready" i asked trying to annoy him more but honestly scared at the same time, not that ill admit it out loud.

"you talk way to much i'm starting to regret this." he said with no emotion in his voice

"so does that mean you're finally going to let me go ?" i said in a hopeful voice.

"nope" he said popping the 'p' 

i shrugged my shoulders and let my ears fall a bit as i narrowed my eyes at him.

i really don't get this vamp he went from dangerous to cocky to mysterious to silly then to rude just in the time iv'e known him which hasn't even been three full hours.

"i'm trying to find the animal that scent belong to." he said sniffing the air

"huh and i thought i was the wolf" i said seeing him roll his eyes at me.

i sniffed the air trying to smell what he was talking about.

I breathed in the air instantly regretting it.

dead animal.

"this isn't time for a snack sparky" i said walking past him brushing his shoulders

"oh it isn't for me sweetheart" he said i could tell he was smirking 

i froze felling a shiver crawl up my back not sure it it was what he was insinuating or the fact that he called me sweetheart. 

i turned around seeing him swaying a dead rabbit in his hand with that infamous smirk on his oh so perfect stupid face.

"you're crazy if you think i'm going to eat that thing." i growled at him showing my teeth.

"calm down whiskers you're not going to eat it" 

i sighed in relief

"you're going to rub the blood on yourself" he said in a happy tone

my ears shot up 

"are you mentally ill i'm not doing that you psycho" i practically screamed 

"will you keep it down are you trying to get caught? i just need to hide your mutt scent so the others don't kill you" he said in a stern voice.

"are you really going this far just to hear my story ?" i sighed getting ready to just spit everything out 

"shut up" he say says dropping the rabbit  and taking a few steps away from me

"hey you're no one to tell me to shut up you blooodsuc-" i stopped myself as a certain smell hit me. 

Clair De Lune.

"great more wolves on our territory like i didn't have enough with you" he growled which wasn't a total turn on

"Cody you need to get me out of here now". i said in a stern voice.

"what do they want with you anyway what did you do Madeline" he raised his voice as he turned to look at me.

"i'll tell you right now just please hide me" i practically pleaded and whimpered.

he looked hesitant and thoughtful, i smelled them closer getting scared.

"Cody!" i snapped at him making him grunt and roll his eyes

"fine they're still a while away from us but you have to shift i'll carry you to the barn i'm faster and rub the blood on yourself they won't smell you if you have my scent and blood on you" he said quickly 

i didn't think twice as i started to shift back i always carried a blanket and backpack with my things and some clothes around my neck as a wolf so i wasn't completely naked when i turned .

i heard my fur change back to skin and my bones crack into place as i fell to the floor covering myself so Cody didn't see anything.

"give me the thing" i said to Cody as he started at me shocked with wide eyes.

i hugged the blanket to myself closer starting to feel insecure.

"uhm yeah sorry here just uhm yeah rub it on your uhm yeah fin- ooh body" he said stretching his hand out with the dead animal 

"this is so gross look away perv" i said to Cody seeing that he was still staring.

he didn't even say or deny it and just turned around.

i started to rub the animals blood on myself head to toe while whispering silent 'sorry's to it.

"you know it can't hear you right?" Cody said as he tried to turn around.

"i'm not finished you asshole turn around and i don't care that's not gonna stop me from being sorry i'm not used to smelling like blood thank you very much" i scoffed as he stayed still.

once i finished i set the poor creature down and dug a little hole so it'll rest.

"you wolves are so soft" Cody scoffed as i covered it in dirt.

"maybe its cause we actually have a soul"i scolded at him.

 his facial expression looked hurt but it didn't stay like that for long.

the sent hit our noses stronger than last time. 

they're close.

"lets go" Cody said as he took me by surprise and picked me up bridal style keeping the blanket and my backpack around me.

i shivered at the cold air, Cody held me closer and surprisingly he was super warm which made me relax in his arms.

"hold tight."
