Chapter 2

I wake up with a thin layer of sweat sticking to my body. I get up and feel my way to my dresser feeling around for the first drawer. I get out underwear and a bra and feel for the second drawer I open it up and feel around for a random shirt and grab it. I do the same until I have pants and a hat. I go to the bathroom and turn the shower tuner until the second click. Warm-Hot. I put the clothes on a counter and walk into the shower feeling around.

After my shower I dry off and feel around for my undergarments. I put them on and I find my shirt. I put it on and then do the same for the remaining clothing. I walk out and use my hands to find my way to my glasses. I put them on and make my way to the door.

"Toby!" I call and here him walk up right beside me. I feel for the door knob and walk out to the stairs. I make my way down and feel my way towards the kitchen. Not that I needed to because the scent coming from it smelt like heaven.

I walk to the center island and sniff some more.

"We are having bacon and eggs for breakfast." My mothers oh so familiar voice says.

"He mated last night mum." I say.

"Who di- oh." She says in sudden realization.

"I'm going to be blind forever! My mate won't even want me!" I cry out, I feel a serge of depression and disappointment go through me after I said that.

"Baby, of course he will-" I cut my mother off.

"Mum! You know he is going to reject me! Who wants a disabled mate who can't walk two feet with out her dog at her side or having her hands scanning things?!"

"Baby, you know that's not true. You mate will love you blind or not." She says and I feel my mothers lips on my forehead as I sniffle.

"Hey! Pum- what's wrong?" My father asks me.

"Rich.. Not now.. Alpha mated last night." She says and my father sighs.

"Everything will be okay Hun." My father says pulling me into his chest allowing me to cry on him.

"Here Hun you can start eating." My mother says and I nod into my fathers chest. I walk to the counter and feel around for a bar stool. Finally I get on and wait for someone to place it in front of me.

"Enjoy." My mother says soothingly.

Not likely.

I finish my breakfast which was quite good and let my mother take my plate from me.

I get up and excuse myself, "I'm going!"

I walk out side and grab the leash from the back of Toby's vest. I quickly make my way down to the human city and allow Toby to lead. When he stops I stop and when he goes I go. We take a right into a store and I aimlessly go down the aisles sniffing out my perfume.

"Hey Sienna! You searching for your perfume?" Someone asks behind me.

"Who's there?" I ask.

"It's Dave." He says.

"Oh hey Dave!" I say turning around.

"Over here sweetie." He says turning me. "Here is your perfume."

He hands me a rectangular box with my perfume inside. "Thanks Dave."

I get out my wallet and ask, "Can you take out two 20's?"

"No darling, your fine." He says and I'm about to protests when he says, "don't you have spent a lot here that's enough."

I smile and nod, "thanks."

"See you later darling." He says and I nod leaving with Toby in the lead.

I walk for a bit feeling as though I'm going in circles so I stop and walk with my hand out looking for a wall.

"Toby where are we?" I ask feeling the deteriorating wall of, most likely, a poor end of the town.

Toby begins to bark and I walk opposite to the wall only to hit another wall. What the? I walk straight and hit another wall.

Shit.

I walk back until I hit something fluffy. A growl rumbles through the chest of the creature and I run to the wall.

"Toby..." I say in a warning tone trying to locate my pup.

Toby begins growling and I hold his leash tighter. Soon another growl breaks the small silence and Toby pulls out of my grip.

I hear Toby's whimper and squeal until everything goes silent again.

"Toby?" I call.

Nothing is heard besides the menacing growl of the creature in front of me. Then it hits me. Toby is dead.

All of a sudden there is a large rumble in front of me and I am pushed up against the wall by something furry. There is a large snarl and then the sound of ripping and a loud howl.

I scream and run. I need to get out if here. I keep running hoping I will get into my pack boarder. I will be safe there. I scream and scream hearing the pounding of paws behind me. I run until I'm out of breath.

I stop and scream for one of the patrol guards hoping I'm in the right territory.

"SIENNA!" A scream calls me and I follow the voice.

"Sienna what's going on?!" A guard, I'm guessing, asks.

"Toby is dead, something following, help." I say and he grabs my arm and runs with me. I feel him shift and he tosses me on his back with his snout and paw. We run and run until I am in the warm pack house air.

"Your okay. Your safe in the home now. Stay put until we locate what was following you." He says and I nod.

"Sienna! Thank you so much Drake! I thought you were hurt." My mother says coming up to me.

"Mum.. Toby.. He.. H-He is... He-" my mother cuts me off by saying, "I know sweetie your okay. Everything will be okay."

I hold my tears back from the death of my pup and get up. I walk towards my room by sniffing for the scent of Toby and me and feel around. I make it to my room and remove my clothes down to my tank top and underwear. I walk to my bed removing my glasses and go into my bed. I fall asleep shortly after putting my glasses on the bedside table.
