"C'mon Sienna! Stop trying let your body do the work." Peet says in frustration as I, once again, am trying to shift the water on the table.
"I'm trying here Peet! Just shut up will you!" I growl at him and I hear him whimper and Xander chuckle happily. "Sorry."
"It's okay. Try again." Peet says in a softer tone this time and I nod.
I take a deep breath and relax my tense body. I feel my shoulder fall and my clenched hands unclench. That's when I let my mind wander from the room we are in. I hear the sounds of a river and the quiet pitter patter of water. That's when my vision comes and I notice I'm sitting in a rain forest. I put my hand in the stream and look at my reflection. My hair lays on my shoulder in a perfect French braid. I look down the water and run my hand through it.
Moments later I am brought back to the room with Peet and Xander.
Water splashes to the floor and Peet cheers.
"You did it Sienna!" He howls in delight.
"I did?" I feel the smile on my face grow at the thought of finally achieving it. "Xander?"
"I'm right here baby." He says right next to me. I jump startled by his closeness before wrapping my arms up and around his neck. His find his way around my waist as he says, "you did it baby. I'm so proud of you."
I hear Peet clear his throat and I let go of Xander while his grip tightens on me. "Let go Xander."
I giggle as he sniffs up my neck and push on his broad shoulders. "Xander we have to go back to the lessons."
"Why? You already did something magical lets leave." Xander whines.
"You promised me two hours a day learning and it's only been an hour or so today. We aren't done yet." I say as I run my fingers through his hair.
"Mmmm ..." He hums as my nails scratch his scalp.
"Let go baby, one more hour." I say and Xander slowly but surely pulls away from me and I turn in the direction Peet should be.
"Okay, so- Xander please take a seat." Peet says and whimpers shortly after.
"Xander! Be nice." I scold. Xander grumbles something under his breathe before taking his seat across the room.
"Okay, now, we need to continue practicing the water movement until you can control it. Then we will move onto objects and eventually fire. After fire you will begin to learn how to use these to your advantage as well as learning to use your gifts with the earth." Peet explains as I hear him pick up the glass. "The water is on the ground now but, you should still be able to move it from the ground."
"Okay." I nod in understanding as I try to relax my body, but I can't.
I feel a small smile form on my lips.
"Sienna?" Peet asks and I giggle.
"I can't believe I actually did that!" I say happily and I hear Xander chuckle at me.
Peet sighs before saying, "we will pick up where we left off tomorrow."
"No I can do it again. I just have to try-"
"Sienna listen to Peet we are going." Xander instructs happily as I feel a warm hand - most likely his - grab hold of mine and lace our fingers together.
"See you tomorrow Sienna" Peet says as I am being dragged out of the room.
"See you tomorrow Peet." I wave in the direction of his voice.
"Finally!" Xander expresses as the door closes.
"You don't have to sit and watch us you know." I tell him as we walk down the hallway, our hands still clasped together.
