Reborn

Chapter 7

I pant, putting my hands on my knees. How do people do this? It's good though, another kind of pain, a pain I can handle.
I smile, standing up all the way. We have been doing sprinting laps around the track, trying to raise my endurance. Well, it's only been 2 days, but I hope it's working. Yeah no.
The first day was brutal. Today I run with Amera and Roy, Breck going faster and moving away from us.

"What's his problem" I ask. They look at eachother, then Roy sighs. He sighs a lot.
"He was impacted the most when you died. You two were practically best friends. He became a completely different person."
I close my eyes for a second, thinking. I didn't want to believe them, but I kinda had to. I keep having these dreams. But the weird thing is that they ONLY contain Breck, like my mind is telling me something.

I think he's disappointed by me, the fact that I'm different. They say my eyes were the same color, but I had light, short brown hair that came to my chin. They say I'm not as, cheery as before. I'm more solemn. I look around, taking in my surroundings.

The bright green trees are much larger than normal, they also have huge trunks. The animals here are slightly weirder too. Like the deer here, they have these HUGE antlers, like people are able to sit on them. It's just crazy.

"Alright, we're done for today." Amera says to me. "Let's go inside so we can shower and get changed. " she says, looking at me and waiting for me to respond. I nod my head and walk of towards the house. The house has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a hot tub, a huge flat screen tv, and each room has their own tub, shower, sink, and walk in closet. I finally was able to get my "old" room back, and I can't stand it.

All the walls are bright pink, and there is white decorations everywhere. "Nope nope nope nope nope" i say to no one even though Amera is in the hall way on her phone. "What is this. I can NOT work with this" i say, backing out of the room. "Alesia, This is your room. Where YOU lived. For all 17 years. Beside the year you lived with your parents when you were a child. They established the bond once they found out you were born on the same day." I open my eyes in shock. "We were all born on the same day?!" I ask in surprise. "Well, when you got reborn, it changed to the day you died" I shake my head in understanding. I sigh, thinking all of the things that changed.

I asked them what my sister thought happened to me, and they said the rest of the family thinks I got kidnapped. So I can't go back without a story. Or physical evidence. So. Yeah. I go to my room, my mind filling with awful thoughts.
Does Mavie miss me? Does she care? Or is she just like 'maybe she's dead and in another place'. I ground my teeth.
I can't be mad at her for something I know she doesn't mean to do.
