Chapter 9:

Violet woke up screaming at 3:30 in the morning and Cal woke immediately. "Violet....Violet!" He puts his hands on her cheeks and saw terror in her eyes. "What happened?" She was silent with tears running down her face. "Violet, you need to tell me, let me help you feel safe again!" She shook her head with disagreement. "Violet, Whatever you saw, won't get you!" "But thats not true, this creature called me by name in the memory of the Chef, it looked directly at me with its......" "It's what?" "It's burning red eye like Daniels wolf eyes!" She looked at Cal and Cal demanded "Show me!" "What, no!" "VIOLET, SHOW ME!"

Violet looked at Cal and said "No, I dont want you to go after whoever called me by name and scared me into not talking about what happened!" "Violet, I want to help you, but I can't do that if you shut me out, I looked into Daniels eyes, show me the image of the eyes and I would tell if it Daniel or not!" Raven appeared in the room and Cal looked at her. (This is a true man, Violet, show him, he loves you this much to help you overcome this burden!) Cal looked at Violet, she was hesitating, Cal moved his hands from her face to her waist, she lifted her hands and placed them on his head and thought of the memory.

Next thing Cal knew was that he was in the memory, but he saw Raven and Violet there talking and he saw the Chef bravely fighting for his life, he walked up close to Violet and heard everything, then he looks at the creature, saw the red eyes. "That is definitely Daniel! But why is he doing this?" Thats when he heard the creature saying "Violet!" He turns to the creature and stared at him, then he opened his eyes, breathing heavily and Violet just sat there on the bed, in silence.

He crawled closer to her and said "I'm so sorry for what happened!" "It's better to see it then explaining it!" Remarked Violet. "You see why I was too scared yesterday I didn't want you to go looking for it!" Cal just sat across from her and grabbed her hand, she flinched, he continued to in lace his fingers with hers.

He repositioned to the side of her and yanked her on top of him, their foreheads touch, a tear running down her cheek, Cal wiped it away, then kissed her cheek. "I would never let anyone hurt you, even this creature, he will have to go through me to get to you and I put up a hell of a fight for you!" He saw a smile going across her face, then they locked lips, he put his hands on her sides, not breaking the kiss. They looked into each others eyes, Cal seeing the light coming back into her Hazel eyes.

"Want to go to bed?" Asked Cal. "No, I'm not tired anymore!" "Are you sure it's not because of the memory?" "No, it's not and you better not pressure point me again, still recovering from the first time you did it!" Cal smirked. "It's not funny!" "It kinda is!" She pushed him and got off, but he grabbed her by the waist, pulled her back, she just folded her arms and had a pouty face, they were both facing the wall on the other side of the room, Cal kept whispering "I'm sorry, Babe!" In her ear, over and over and over again until she replied "Shut up! I forgive you!"

They both laughed, Violet felt two strong arms sliding across her stomach, she in laced with his hands and leaned her head back on his shoulder, he rests his head on her shoulder. He started rubbing his thumb on her hand and kissed her neck once, she giggled. "That tickles!" "Yeah, what do you expect, the neck is the most ticklish spot on a persons body." "Well then!" Remarked Cal and he attacked her neck with kisses and she couldn't stop laughing or even talk to tell I'm to stop.

When they were laughing, Violet started hearing howls, she got up. "Where you going?" "I am going to help them!" "You just recovered!" "Cal, I am the leader and that comes with responsibility, right now the pack needs us!" She walked out and Cal followed, when they were in the woods, they transformed and ran towards the howl. Violet respond with a howl and they ran as fast as possible, zooming by everything, jumping over rocks and the huge gap. She stumbled, that didn't stop her, so she kept running and followed the howls, they were getting closer and then she saw a shifter running, so she took a short cut to cut it off, Cal followed her lead.

Violet stopped right in the way, braced to be hit, closed her eyes and turned her head the other way *Thud* the shifter hit her mid section and she turned into human, breathing for air, she felt like the wind got knocked right out of her. "Violet, you okay?" Asked Kevin in his wolf form. "Yeah....just got to get use to that plan!" She stood up straight and transformed before the Shifter saw her in human form. It looked at her wolf form and said in a scratchy voice. "No wonder he wants you as a host, you smart!" Violet tilted her head. "What are you talking about?" Asked Violet. "Well, he is only a spirit, he needs a host, but you will be permanent with that necklace!" "SHUT UP YOU SHIFTER!" Snarled Cal and Violet looked at him and smiled. "Who is this "spirit"?" Asked Violet. "You saw him once, gaze upon him again, he will take you and there is nothing that will save you!" Violet looked at the Shifter and then remembered the memory and she felt a shiver traveling in her spine. "What else?" "I'm telling you anymore!" She stared at it and the gem began glowing. "Have it your way?" A beam hit the shifter and she got every information and as the beam disappeared, the shifter changed into a man. "Violet, did you take his transformation?" Asked Tom. "Yes and got plenty of information!" She walked away and the pack followed her.

It was 7:00, they finally made it to Violets house and she began to cook breakfast for them. "So Violet what did you see?" Asked Harry. "I saw that the spirit taken Daniel as a host when we fought and that he needed to see me in action with the power to see if I would be perfect!" Cal looked at her and he had a terrified face. "It's okay, you guys know ways to get me back if that does happen!" "Well, tonight there is a Bon Fire, you guys coming this time?' Asked Tyler. "Yes, I won't miss it this time and then straight to patrol, Got it!" "YES, MA'AM!" Yelled the group and then laughed afterwards. She finished cooking and they started eating, Violet wasn't hungry so she sat and had laughs with the boys.

*Ding-Dong* Cal got up and answered it. "Is Violet here?" "Who are you?" "I'm her father, real, not step!" "Come in!" Said Cal suspiciously and went to the dining room and Violet stood up when she saw the man. "Hi, Vi!" Replied the man and she looked at him. "Your.......My!" "Father! Trust me I didn't know that you were her until someone mentioned your name!" Said her Father and she ran towards him and gave him a big hug. Her Father let out a breath of relief and hugged her back, all guys clapped with happiness and she was crying tears of joy. Cal walked towards them and held his hand out. "I'm Cal, Violet's Boyfriend!" Violet and her father stopped hugging and shook his hand. "Finally you admit that you guys a thing!" Remarked Grant and everyone busted out laughing.

After they caught up and Violet hearing what her father has to say of why he hasn't called or visit and she understood, it was because her mother put a restraining order on him, but since he heard that she moved here, he tried to visit, but got nervous and walked away. "Look at you, your such a beautiful young lady!" "Yeah, just look at you!" Said Cal and Violet blushed and he in laced his fingers with her and kissed her hand. "You are a fine young man and from what I see is that nothing can separate you two because how strong your love is for one another!" They both smiled and leaned heads against one another.

It is 12:45, they spent the while time getting answers about the necklace and the spirit that wants to possess Violet, to everyone's surprise her father has every answer. "Wait, your saying that he wants me because I have the strength to contain the power?" "Yes, Raven Standing Lion, risked her life to banish him, but he found a way back, this is the prophecy, you are meant to have the necklace, but the dark spirit needed the power, cant because no one was chosen until now." "So if the dark spirit does take her, he has all the power?" Asked Jones. "Yes, but if you could somehow talk to the actual soul of the host, they would have their strength and Raven's strength to push him out and banish him for all eternity and he will never existed again!" "Thats a good thing to know!" Remarked Cal and Violet agreed.
