Part 9

Narrator's P.O.V

"Damn that woman..."

Sasuke angrily cut a log with an axe. His face was in sweat. It was obvious that he was furious with what Sakura did. He could not believe how sakura could leave him and even she put sleeping pills to leave this place. If he had known Sakura put sleeping pills into the tea, he would even have killed her. He sighed. That was just a joke.

But when he thought about why Sakura did that, he then became realised sakura was right. She might be right.

Would he let sakura go when she had to actually leave him, from this place?

And sakura, being a cry baby, would be crying as usual.

He now knew both of them had no right to face the pain they would have had. So it was probably that sakura thought this was the only way to deal both of them with. When he knew sakura was no longer here anymore, he was feeling like he lost something in his chest. It would be funny how an uchiha could be that strict when it came to girls.

He could still see and feel sakura's images and her sweet cherry scent adhereing to his small house. The cups she had bought, the kitchen she had used to cook in and the bed she had slept in a certain period made sasuke even worse. So he just focused on random work to forget every things concerned with sakura. Still that didn't help sasuke at all. Surprisingly sasuke admitted one thing that he didn't want to in his life. That he missed her so badly......

Running out of energy, sakura stopped. Her breath became short as tiredness influenced over her. Her emrald eyes held sadness though she tried to cover it. Bitting her lower lip, she hid tiredness and started running again. After 2 hours of running without stopping, she could finally see the entry gate of Konoha village. She gazed at the wall of the gate, but her mind was not there.

It just took 3 days for a ninja to reach to Konoha from where sasuke lived. She bitterly smiled herself, thinking it would be nicer if she did die from the poison instead of sufferring from this unbearable pain. The thought that she left sasuke alone hunted her the whole trip. But she didn't regret her job. At least she wanted to fulfill sasuke's wish though it was late for both of them.

At that time, she wanted to know how sasuke would react after her unexpected leave.

Will he be sad? Or Will he be angry?

Could it be he will never forgive me for doing that to him?

She then quickly drove away these thoughts and was about to enter the gate door when a person suddenly appeared and attacked. From the lack of food and the tiredness, she could not defent the attack and fall down in a heap. The attacker gasped and helped her in standing.

With the strength she had left, she opened her eyes to see who the attacker was.

"Sai?!"

Sai just nodded and helped her stand.

"What happened, Ugly? You can't even protect yourself. Besides, you look pale." Sai furrowed his eye brows in confusion.

"Yeah. Many things happened." She told him smiling though it didn't please enough for the raventte.

Checking the list of patients she had to look after, she sighed. Total 21 patients. And she was also summoned to Hokage tower by Kakashi sensei probably for a mission. Yes...about a month ago, Tsunade sama rested from the fifth Hokage and then kakashi sensei finally became the Sixth. But it surprised everyone he was still single though most woman were so clingy to him.

Moving her thoughts aside, she went back to work.

She then checked her patients one by one and finally only 3 were left. She looked at her watch, 4:30 pm.

Whoa, it is this late? I must hurry up.

She then called out the next patient. To her surprise, a familiar man walked in.

"Lee san?"

"Hi sakura san." Rock Lee replied with the shapes of pink hearts in his eyes at the sight of the pinkette.

She sweat dropped but smiled at him to get out of the awkward situation.

"Hi Lee san, what made you here today?"

"Oh, please check out my right arm. I was feeling unusual right there since my last mission. I think there was a broken rib underneath." His face was shown he wasn't lying.

"Oh? Is that so? Then stretch out your right arm and tell me where you can feel the pain or not while I check your arm, ok?"

"Hai." His cheeks turned pink when sakura touched his arm, closing her eyes.

It was natural for a feminine and beautiful lady to be surrounded by many men. Sakura is a doctor and strong konoichi in leaf village. Also no one could deny she was famous for her unique beauty. How could a man be persistent in that kind of pink haired beauty?

Taking a over view of Rock lee's arm, she smiled at the result.

"Lee san, you don't need to worry much. Your arm is just swollen from the combat fight and your bone is ok too. Just rest for a week and you will be better."

"Wow, sakura san, you are amazing. As a thankful gift, can I treat you in a restaurant tonight?" Rock Lee said with puppy eyes, thinking sakura would be melting at his wide eyes.(lol^_^)

"I'm sorry, Lee san. But I have been summoned by the Hokage and I'm sure it is important. I promise next time, I will come with you."

Her reply made the ninja boy satisfied. Saying goodbye and making some weird poses, Lee finally left her room.

When the last patient was also out, the time was till 5:17 pm. Sakura removed her white duty coat and then quickly made her way towards the Hokage tower.

"The mission doesn't involve any fights. It is so simple and you can call it 'C Rank' mission."

Judging from the two girls' faces, it seemed they were not happy with the mission that their leader gave them for the first time. However, a girl with lavender haired praised the two girls while herself a bit of not liking the idea.

The sixth Hokage, Kakashi Hatake, sighed for the girls's childish manners.

"My decision may be quite uncomfortable with you but you know after the fourth war, there was still some villages needed in medicines for infected diseases. We can't tell those diseases will spread to our village or not. Basically this mission is an important one and I think it is suitable for three of you. But if you don't want t-"

"Wait! Kaka-arg! Hokage sensei, why didn't you tell us earlier? If it is a mission with medical treatment, we will gladly do it, right? Hinata,Ino?" The pink haired cheered up and asked the two girls for permission.

Ino twitched her eyebrows playfully but gave the answer she agreed.

"I'm also in, Sakura chan." Hinata shyly said and smiled.

"Yosh, then where exactly shall we go, Hokage sama?" Sakura asked her former sensei.

"The location is a village named 'Hotaru' and a few villages around it. You need to travel to there for almost three days and-"

The word 'three days' made sakura widen her eyes and her heart skipped a beat.

Don't tell me it is...........

A/N: Hi minna, though I had said, this story would be finished with this chapter, it seemed I could not end the story only with this one. It is longer than I thought. So you can say there is still one part left.

And one more thing, I'm sorry for not updating a while. Really sorry, guys :D
