Once there was a girl with hair very thin
She had clear glass bones and snowflake skin
She didn't go outside for fear of death
For Heaven would come with a single breath
She sat inside, pretty and neat
Her heart would never miss a beat
But she yearned for sweet wind's embrace
And to see a scarlet moon's face
One day she put on a flowing white dress
And fixed her siken hair's mess
Her skin would peel and her hair fall out
But she was ready, without a doubt
She went outside to face the world
Dress all night and white hair curled
Her skin burned when it met the sun
Her hair fell out one by one
Her bones cracked and her muscles tore
Her lovely face was no more
But she was content, and it was true
That she smiled wide, and laughed too
If you go to a field and don't think too loud
You can see her, a lovely cloud
So always remember the girl with hair very thin
With clear glass bones and snowflake skin.
