"Will you tell us why we're here Dumbledore?" I asked.

"Yes."

"We've been here for a while and- wait, what did you say?"

"I said I'd tell you why you are here."

"Oh."

"You're here because two death eaters, only you would know their faces as they are from a few years into your future."

"What?"

"Two men have travelled in time to see what part of their plan succeeds. If they find out, they'll go back and inform their leader."

"Who is their leader?" I asked.

"A man you will soon have the misfortune to meet."

"Who are the men?"

"You'll soon see."

"That's why we're here?" James asked.

"Yes."

"Death Eaters?" Sirius asked.

"Don't you boys listen?" Dumbledore exclaimed.

"Ignore them sir, what we need to know is where they might be?" I asked. "Also, who is Professor Tonks?"

"Professor who?" He replied. "They will be lurking around the school grounds."

"What about class?"

"What about class? You boys don't need lessons."

"If they know us, and they see us, wont it be a bit weird?"

"We all know you're all illegal animagus. They will just see a black dog and a deer."

"What about Mooney?" James asked.

"Mooney will be with me."

"Riiiight." I said. "Why?"

"You asked who Professor Tonks was."

"I believe I did."

"Then you'll be with me."

"Ok." I looked at the boys awkwardly.

"The two people you are on the search for will smell of coal and fresh apples."

"Rights, that quite distinct smells." James answered.

"I'm giving you information you need Mr Potter. Are you going to listen or just wing it like usual?" Dumbledore replied.

"I'm listening." James mumbled.

"Good." Dumbledore narrowed his eyes at James, then he looked back at me. "Remus, you will be searching the castle."

"How?"

"By walking around the castle, using your nostrils to smell for coal and fresh apples, or would you like a secret map and an invisible cloak?" Dumbledore sassed.

"No, no. I'm fine." I replied.

"You will have access to all rooms and hallways. You will have a hall pass."

"Ok."

"And no one should bother you."

"That sounds easy enough." I smiled.

"And Potter and Black will be searching the grounds as a stag and a dog. Though you mustn't stick together. Separate or they'll know something is up."

"Aye aye captain." Sirius saluted.

"Seriously?" James asked.

"Sorry." Sirius mumbled as he slouched onto the chair.

"Now go." Dumbledore pushed us out of his office.
