"Remus." A girl called. I followed the noise and saw Lucie.
The two boys looked at me.
"Its fine, go on." I smiled and waved them off. "I won't be a minute."
"Heya." She playfully punched my arm. I looked at her. "My bad." She mumbled.
"Hi Lucie." I replied.
"Albby says I gotta stay with you."
"Albby?" I asked.
"Yano, Albby, Dorey? White wizard?! Gandalf if you're feeling cheeky enough."
"Dumbledore?"
"Dumbledore." She confirmed.
"What does he want?"
"Me to stay with you. James has Sirius, you have me." She smiled.
"I'm fine by myself." I replied.
"Alright Mr Kent, I'll leave you to your fortress of solitude."
"Are you reffereing to Superman?" I asked.
"Yep." She paused. "You're no fun." She added.
"I've been informed about that."
"I have to stay with you until you leave."
"Ok." I said.
"Tomorrow is the ball." She said.
"Pardon?" I asked.
"We'll have to go." She added.
"No, we're looking for people. We can't go." I replied.
"Uh, yea we are. Dumbledore told me we have to."
"I'll go with James and Sirius." I paused. "Obviously a young, handsome Ravenclaw wants to ask you." I paused again. "Or perhaps a fellow from a different house."
"I know, look at me. I've had atheist four invites so far." She paused. "But I'm asking you."
I stared at her.
"Close your mouth, you'll catch flies."
"I'm not a ball kind of guy. Anyway, isn't it a fill moon?"
"Nope, you can't get out of this Mr Lupin."
"Oh." I mumbled.
"I'm wearing blue." She added. "What about you?"
"I'm not going, so I'm wearing my pajamas." I replied.
"I think you'd look dashing in red." She answered her own question.
"I really must be off. The boys will need me." I turned to walk away, but she grabbed my arm.
"I'll see you tomorrow." She narrowed her eyes as she said this. She had a look, a rather scary.
"Um," I paused. "Yep, I'll see you outside the Ravenclaw tower."
"It's a date Remus." She replied. "Though this feels weird, I know future you."
"I'm going to go."
"Ok." She said.
I walked down the hall and saw James and Sirius talking to some girls. I slowly walked up to the group, so I could listen in.
"So, I thought that maybe, you could go with me to, the, um, the ball." One girl asked.
James and Sirius looked at each other and raised an eyebrow.
"Which one are you asking?" James asked.
"Um," She pointed to Sirius. "You."
Sirius smiled. "Actually, I've been asked by someone else, though I'll defiantly save a dance for you." He smiled. You could tell, the smile was what melted her heart.
"Sure." She smiled back.
"What about you?" James asked.
"Are you asking me?" She said. She looked as though she may melt.
"No, I wanted to know if you guys were finished." He answered, this was rather unlike James. Though I knew why. James wanted to go out with Lily, and to do so, he needed to change.
"Oh." They both replied.
James walked away. Sirius followed after he winked at both girls. I trotted along after them.
"James, you are so rude." I said as I jogged up to him.
"I believe the correct term is 'savage'." Sirius smiled.
"Actually, we say they need an ice pack as that was a burn." Lucie smiled. I jumped.
"Jesus women, where aren't you?" I exclaimed.
"I'm everywhere." She smiled.
"Who are you again?" James asked.
"It's the babe girl." Sirius replied.
"I'm Lucie." She smiled. "Did Libby and Sam ask you to the dance?"
"Yea." James replied.
"I guess you didn't say yes?" She asked again.
"No, but you might." Sirius flirted.
"I have a date." She smiled.
"Yea?" He asked.
"Yea." She smiled back.
"Who?"
"Remus." She replied.
They all looked at me.
"Not like that, Dumbledore has asked Lucie to stay with me, I assumed you were going together, so Dumbledore said I must accompany Lucie." I answered quickly.
"Riiiight." They all smiled.
"What?!" I asked.
They all gave flirty smiles, even Lucie. I huffed and walked away. They all chuckled as I strutted off. I turned a corner and went head first into Hermione.
"Ooft." I mumbled as I fell on top of her. I banged my head on the concrete floor and groaned.
Hermione didn't have the same tumble as I did. She fell rather elegantly, I had spun her around during the so I would take the full impact. Her head had bounced off my chest.
After all, I am a gentleman.
"Jesus." James said as he saw us on the floor.
"Hermione are you alright?" Harry asked.
"Remus." Sirius smiled.
"Whot?" I asked. I was still on the floor, I rubbed my head.
"Was that floor hard?" He asked.
"What do you bloody think?!" I snapped back.
"My bad." He snickered.
"I see two of you." I whined. "Two bloody Sirius'?! My worst bloody nightmare."
My head began go pound even harder. I could here the blood rushing through my head. Not only could I see two Sirius' but could see three James' and two Harry's. I think I saw a few Hermione's and a Ron.
Then after that, I saw nothing.
I think I could say, I was in a bit of a pickle.
