So it's my first day of school and I don't think I'm feeling it at all. I walk in and suddenly everybody stares... I understand I am late but I don't need everyone to make it obvious. The reason for me being late is because I was up almost all night thinking of those murders... What if the kid was in my class, what if he was my friend, what if he was next to me. Thoughts went through my head as I was dreading school fearing the killer be among my many peers.

The day goes on and we finally hit lunch... this day seems to be going by fast. I sat at the table I sat at last year and this time it's just me by myself. Then, some kid sat down across from, "Is this seat taken?" The mysterious person asked. "It is now." I replied. "By the way my name is Jeffery but you can call me Jeff." I looked at him, he was actually kind of cute. He had hair that covered his eyes but not so much that I could just see a hint of blue. He looks so, what's the words, out of place. He was different from everyone. He was wearing a black hoody and dark jeans with black Converses. He looked like he could be the boy version of me. "I'm Mary. It's nice to meet you Jeff." I blushed, hopefully he didn't see it. He looked at me and smirked. Fuck, he looked ten times cuter. "So you have any friends?" What a weird question for small talk. "Not really, I stay to myself. I do have one friend but she moved over the summer. I try talking to her as much as I can." He seemed very interested as I answered him. "Well, Mary, if you don't mind I'd like to be your friend... not trying to seem creepy but I see myself in you." Then he got up and left, but he looked back and smiled at me before he went through the cafeteria doors. Wow. That was weird, but honestly I had chills going through my body, but they were the kind you get when you catch a glimpse of your celebrity crush before you meet them for the first time. He seems so intriguing. My head tells me to stay away but something else tells me to be his friend.

The bell to leave finally rings, I'm the last to leave but u see something, or someone, in the corner of my eye. Jeff. He's staring at me from across the courtyard. I start walking the other direction but he starts following. I look back and he's gaining on me. Next thing I know he's next to me. "Hey Mary. How's it going?" I reply, "Hey Jeff, I'm doing good I just have a lot on my mind right now. What's up?" Jeff smiles, oh that smile just makes me wanna melt like chocolate on a hot day. With his blue eyes, he's mesmerizing smile, his sharp jawlime, the dimples in his cheeks, the hair covering part of his eyes. He's amazing. "I was wondering if you'd like to come with me over to my... erm... happy place? It's over by the creek. I go there to get away from things." His happy place... sounds different. I've never heard a guy ask me that. But it's worth a shot. "Sure, why not?" He grabs my hand and directs me through the woods behind the school.
