Good, let's use your car," Alex proposed.

I stood there firmly rooted to the ground, attentively listening to the conversation which I was not part of.

For a brief moment, Mike had this perplexed expression etched in his charming features. Alex on the other hand gave his best friend a knowing smile, like he was up to something.

"But what about her?" Mike asked and gestured towards me.

Alex sighed. "Of course, we're taking her with us. That's the reason I brought her with me," he explained as if it was the most obvious thing.

"Wait," I said finally able to find the timing to interrupt their conversation. "What do you plan on doing?" I questioned and put my hands on my hips. Clearly, they cannot just drag me with them without a good enough reason.

"We're going somewhere," Alex replied nonchalantly and looked at me.

"By we, you mean you and Mike," I said and gestured towards them both.

Alex looked at me like I was insane. "Were you not listening to our conversation?" He queried and eyed me with a look of tad irritation. "Of course, the three of us," he said.

"What? No way!" I said in defiance. "I still have class in twenty minutes," I reasoned with them.

"And so?" Alex said indifferently. "Skip class," He suggested as of it was acceptable.

"Are you kidding?" I replied to him in surprise. "I've never done that before," I told him my irritation getting the best of me.

"Woah," Alex said in amused. "You haven't skipped class even once?" he questioned in disbelief.

I shook my head. "No," I said softly.

Alex scoffed. "Well, there's always a first time for everything," He replied and eyed Mike. "Right Mike?"

Mike gave him a smile and nodded his head.

"You'll get me in trouble!" I told him.

He shrugged his shoulders uncaringly. "Then, I'll get you out of it," He said simply with cockiness.

Oh, He is just super cocky.

That's not cockiness because you know he can do it, Adie.

Oh. God. Now, I'm defending him?

"No, thank you." I said to them. "I'm going back inside." I announced and walked.

As I walked a few steps, I heard Alex clear his throat.

"Adie, you seem to have forgotten something," He said.

Putting an irritated look on my face, I turned around and said "What?"

Alex stood there with a cocky bravado, as he held a familiar pink stationary in his hand. It was my confession letter to Nate. As I saw it, I immediately swallowed hard.

"You're coming with us, right?" he asked in a teasing manner.

"Fine," I replied lifelessly and walked towards the two boys.

Alex replied with a big conceited smirk on his face, that I wanted to really punch right now.

"Where are we going anyway?" I asked them.

"You'll see." Alex said mysteriously.

"I'm not going until you tell me," I complained and crossed my arms in front of me.

Alex had this amused expression in his face like he was enjoying my display. "Would you quit acting like a child?" he said to me.

"I'm not acting like a kid!" I immediately defended myself. "I just want to know where were going!" I argued. "For all I know, you might take me somewhere and kill me!" I said my voice slightly ascending one octave.
