Barry's pov

I had never been more confused in my life. My best friend, who had confessed to me earlier, was avoiding me. It wasn't like he was mad or anything, he did return my smiles and waves, he even talked to me as we normally did. However, he was ignoring one subject, our relationship.

I knew Hal and I were no longer, just best friends. We had shared an incredible night, where he had taken something special from me but I had let him, because I love him. I just wanted to confirm it with him, so that we could start acting like a couple and we'd be happy.

I came to the conclusion, that Hal was simply shy about it all and needed someone to help him come out of the closet and be with a boy. I thought it was cute in a way and I wanted to be the one to help Hal out. For starters, I needed to tell people about our relationship, so that Hal wouldn't have to.

"He's going to be so happy with me." I said happily as I walked up to Oliver Queen's locker. "Hello Oliver!"

Ollie turned away from his locker and looked at me. He smiled slightly and leaned against his locker. "Hey shortie, what's up?"

"Well." I said clapping my hands together happily. "Since you and Hal are so close, I need to tell you....we are together!" Oliver looked a little shocked and also didn't seem to believe me. I expected this response, Hal had only been with girls and didn't show any signs of being attracted to the same sex. I felt my heart hurt for Hal, it was going to be so hard for him to come out and be accepted, I knew the feeling of sadness and fear too well. I looked up at Oliver, hoping that he would accept Hal, accept us.

"Well..." He started. "I certainly didn't expect Hal to be with a guy but you guys do make a cute couple, of course I accept it." I almost jumped in the air, this was such a huge relief.

"Thank you so much Ollie." I said giving him a hug. "You're the best and oh! Make sure to tell all of Hal's friends the news, I'm trying to make this as easy for Hal as possible."

"Um sure." Ollie said. "Whatever I can do for you." I pulled away and gave him one last smile, before running to tell all of my friends the news. "Huh.." I heard Ollie say behind me. "He's the happiest I have ever seen him."

I walked over to Diana's gang, so excited to tell them the news. I was very close with Diana and the girls and knew they'd be the happiest for me. I walked into the lunchroom, which I knew the girls hung out at during free periods. I spotted Diana and a few others, nearly jumping in joy.

"Diana!" I yelled as I ran to give her a big hug. "Diana!! I'm so happy!" I said extremely fast. "A few days ago, Hal confessed to me and we are a couple and he's so cute and great, I'm so flipping happy!"

Diana chuckled and hugged me back but looked slightly confused. "Barry, you're talking too fast, all I heard was about you being happy and Hal."

I giggled and tried to calm down, but I was so excited. "Sorry, sorry, I meant...Hal and I started dating. He confessed to me a few days ago and you can't believe how happy I am."

"Hal...?" Diana repeated. "I never knew Hal was...well even if he is, do you really think he's good for you?"

I frowned, why would Hal be bad for me? Hal did have his imperfections but so did I. Everyone had their problems and I loved Hal, regardless of his issues. "No Diana, he isn't good for me." I smiled. "He's absolutely great for me."

She sighed and smiled. I had told Diana about my crush on Hal and like the good friend she was, Diana never told a soul. She knew how much this meant for me and wouldn't dare ruin it for me.
