I have never met anyone who was more excited than me to leave what most people call home. I had never felt like my house was a home. After my mother left when I was two and my father realized that drugs dulled the pain and removed any want to be a parent I was virtually on my own. Yes, there were nannies and cleaning people and the occasional mannie but ever since I was 12 I virtually raised myself. I should probably introduce myself. At this point you know one of the many shitty parts of my life but believe me a girl has to make lemonade out of lemons and me heading off to college was a very sweet drink of lemonade.
My name is Lillian. I am 18 and just graduated High school. I have one brother he is the best person in the world. The only person I have left. I am heading off to College finally. I have gone through 4 years of high school and I am ready to leave my small town where the most exciting news is who is pregnant now or who shoplifted from CVS. I am heading to D.C to attend Georgetown University. It has been my dream as a child to become a surgeon All I have ever wanted is the ability to make a difference. As I walked out of the house I could just jeel how my life was going to change.
I decided to have my own apartment with 3 other people. It was the cheapest option and would let me be closer to my brother who was a senior at American University. I had no idea who I would room with I had talked to one of the girls and she didn't know either. She was so nice to talk too. I could already see we would turn out to be really good friends. D.C was only 2 hours away so it did not take me that long. As I Arrived at the apartment I took a deep breath. This was my new life I whispered to myself. I gathered all the determination I had left and headed up the staircase. I finally reached the apartment after 5 flights of stairs. I knocked on the door. There was no answer. I knocked again and finally heard some movement. The door opened just slightly for me to just be able to see a shirtless boy. "Go away Jessica, " he said before slamming the door in my face.
I was kind of shocked so I knocked again this time louder. The boy came back looking pissed and opened the door prepared to yell at me when he realized I was not this Jessica he was talking about. "My name is Lilah and I am supposed to be moving in here", I said trying not to slap him cause he had already slammed the door in my face once.
"oh yeah", he replied. "Sorry, I thought you were this crazy girl that is stalking me just because I didn't call her after we went out once come in I'll show you around. By the way, my name is James. "
I followed James into the apartment. He was extremely attractive. He was tall with blonde hair and muscles that rippled across his chest. I think I was starting too long because he started to notice and slyly told me to take a picture. He led me to my room and I could already tell this would be home. Not only was I away from my father but I was also starting a new life where I could make friends and have new experiences.
sorry about leignth i'll work on it
